Tania stared across the dark land on the other side of the river. Wind caused the dark blue blades of grass to sway.

Suddenly the grass turned green and brown, because that's where the sun started hitting it.

Sighing, Tania turned around, she always wondered what it would be like to live with other humans, to feel the heat of the sun on her face, again.

Tania shook the thought off, no matter how much she wondered she knew, deep down, she would never leave the pack that raised her.

She turned her back to the Half-Time. She checked her prey bag, inside she had two rabbits, and a half a dozen fish.

She started towards the camp, towards her home, Tania ran quickly enjoying the rush of cool air on her face. She tried to imagine what it would be like to transform into a wolf like her werewolf family.

Tania stopped on top the hill and gazed down at her village. Small lights twinkled between the houses, but other than that everything was dark.

Her people walked down the roads in the village some in wolf form, others human form. Tania walked down the hill quickly, the brisk air cutting through her leather jacket.

Tania entered the village, walking toward her house. Her father was the Alfa of the pack. If anything were to harm the Alfa his son, Jacob, would take over as Alfa. Jacob or Tania's mother, Doris.

Unless of course the Alfa was challenged for leadership, that was where the Alfa and the challenger would fight, whoever won would be Alfa over the pack.

Warmth leaked from Tania's house when she opened the door. Tania knew that parents kept their house warmer then most werewolf houses, because they had her, a human, living with them.

"Honey! Is that you?!" Her mother called, coming out of the kitchen. "Oh, goody! You brought food I hope."

"Yes, I did," Tania answered, dropping the bag on the table, "I hope it's enough, I couldn't find anymore."

"Oh, well I guess it'll have to do. Everyone knows that prey is harder then usually to find in this time of season." Mom told her, patting her on the cheek.

"Yes, it has me worried. It's been getting worse, especially since the humans keep coming closer to the border." Tania informed her mother.

Mom sighed and shoved her toward the stairs, "Go get washed up, Dad and Jake will be home soon."

"Yes, Mom." Tania muttered, before running up the stairs.

Tania quickly, stripped herself of her weapons, laying her two Samaria swords, on her bed, her bow and arrows next to them, along with the two daggers Tania kept on her in secret.

Then she changed out of her hunting clothes and slipped into something more comfortable.

Tania strapped on her two daggers, so she wouldn't be totally defenseless. You can never be too careful around werewolves. Not all werewolves liked having mundanes around.

Tania ran down the stairs when she heard the door open. "Jay, your home!" Tania ran into the entryway flinging her arms around Jake.

Jake chuckled and hugged her back. "Hey, Anie!" Jake and Dad had been on border patrol for the past week, constant walking around the borders and marking the territory.
