Jay's POV: Surprise!
Jay held onto Tania tightly, as he trekked across The Darkness's plains. Logan grumbled behind him as he stumbled again.

"I really don't think this is a good idea," Logan said for the hundredth time.

"It's our only option if you really want Tania to have a normal life," Jay said. Sadness gripped his heart, he just wanted Tania to be safe, to be ok.

"But bringing her to the Dragons?! What if they get mad and smite us or something?!" Logan asked nervously.

"Well, they haven't smite us yet, and we're here," Jay said looking forward.

Before him a dark cavernous mountain stood. Dark clouds swirled around it, lightning brightening them momentarily. "Welcome to Mount Glorious."

Jay approached the cavern, laying Tania down in front of it, Logan standing behind him.

Jay opened his mouth to say something, but he saw a dark mass move inside the cave. Child, why have you broken my slumber?! A powerful voice sounded in Jay's head.

Jay's heart pounded, he sweat covered him. "All mighty," Jay bowed low. "I need your help, we need you help."

A large black scaled head appeared from inside the cave. Long teeth glistened in the moonlight, making Jay shake slightly, knowing Baltizar could eat him whole.

I know of why you are here, young one, but I wish to know, why would you give your sister away? Baltizar asked, moving closer to inspect him.

Jay quivered, but held his ground. "I-I just want her to be safe."

Baltizar pulled back, and turned and looked at Tania. I will do as you ask, only because I hope this will fix our feud with humans. Enough of our kind has died because of the wrath my son has caused.

Baltizar leaned close over Tania and blew sparks into her face.

The sparks landed on her face, before sinking into her skin. Leaving a glowing dot in their place, before disappearing. Tania gasped her eyes flying open before closing again.

Logan knelt down next to her. "What did you do to her?!"

What you wanted. Baltizar slowly retreated into his cave. If I ever see you here again, I won't be so kind. Human's have killed my creation to many times. Jacob, son of Jared, I wish you the best of luck. Then he was gone.

Logan bent down to pick her up, but Jay stopped him by setting a hand on his shoulder. "Can I? Please?"

Logan hesitated, but nodded his head, backing up. Jay knelt and lifted her up, surprised to see her pale skin turning darker, and freckles appearing. She was looking more and more human every moment they walked back to the border.

They got to the border Jay looked down at Tania. He pulled out a envelope and tucked it into her pocket. Jay kissed her head, whispering in her ear. "I love you, and I hope you forgive me."

Tania woke, sunlight drifted through the open window. What?! The window is open! Why aren't my eyes being burned out?! Tania thought.

Tania registered that she wasn't chained to the bed, so climbed out of bed, and looked in the cracked mirror on the wall. Tania screamed, her skin was a light brown, and what used to be a small ring of green around her pupils was now, mostly green and a little bit of black.

Small spots dotted her nose, Tania thought for a moment before remembering humans call them freckles.

Logan burst into the room, the door slamming against the wall. "What?! What's...." His voice died off.

Tania walked toward him, grabbing him by the shirt and slammed him up against the wall. "What did you do to me?!" She yelled.

"Gah! Look, you were dying and so I went to Jacob for help!" Logan said, quickly.

Tania released him, walking backward quickly, before sitting a chair. "What?!" Feeling lost, unsure as to how to feel. What did this mean?

Logan went on explaining what had happened the night before. When he finished they both sat in silence.

Tania reached into her jacket and pulled out the envelope. "I'll leave you to read that," Logan said softly before leaving the room.

Tania hesitated, before opening the envelope, and took out the letter, and a ring that was inside. Tania inspected the ring, before opening the letter.
Dear Tania,
I know how betrayed you must feel, but I was trying to do what was best for you, my sister. We are at war with the vampires here, and you can't even leave the house without you worrying about your life. I just hope that you're safer where you are now.

Anie I love you with all my heart, and I would do anything for you. Please don't hate Logan because of this, he truly does care about you too. Logan also wants what's best for you.

Inside this envelope was the letter (obviously) and a ring. It was Dad's ring, I want you to have it, and I know he would too. Please wear this ring wherever you go, in remembrance of us.

We love you Anie, I just hope you'll come to understand why I did what I did and forgive me for it.

P.S. Sam is healing from the vampire bite, and was very worried about you. I'll let him know you're ok. Sam is truly a great friend.
Love Jay!

Tania rubbed the tears from her eyes and looked at the ring. It was to big for her ring-finger, but it fit perfectly on her thumb.

Tania slipped it on and steeled herself. Jay gave her away, how could he do that?! He knew what they did to her?! Sadness filled her, followed by a rage that had been burning within her since she was a child.

The rage at her family for abandoning her. That rage had never ever been directed at her true family of werewolves, but now it was. Now her hate for her human family had grown and it was now directed at what she thought was her true family.

What did Mom think?! Was she ok with this?! Did she also not want me anymore?!

Tania looked out the open window as a breeze drifted through. Tania stood quickly now that she could see in the sun she could go outside!

Tania climbed out the window, looking down. It was a ways from the ground, but nothing Tania hadn't done before. Tania thought about all the times she snuck out of the house late at night to go hunting with Sam. Tania's sniffled, and wiped her face of any tears.

Tania clung to the cracks in the wood, and climbed down before stepping on a windowsill. Tania crouched on the window voices drifted out. "I worry about her, I mean she probably thinks they abandoned her," Logan said.

Before they could see Tania, she jumped down in the ground. The ground here even felt different, it felt softer, gentler. Tania hated it.

Tania ran off towards the woods behind the house. They felt safer, as if they were calling her. Tania didn't know why, but she followed the instinct.
