Tania paced outside the door, Mom was inside with Logan. Tania had yelled at the little girl, to head back to town. To tell the people what had happened.

She then dragged Logan, across the boarder and into the werewolf camp. It was closer, then Logan's house, plus they had better, and faster healing technics.

The door opened and Mom walked out. "How is he?" Tania asked ringing her hands.

"I think he'll be fine, he just needs some rest. He's been shot, and we didn't know how to heal those. Knife wounds, not a problem," Mom said putting a hand in her shoulder.

Tania nodded, looking down. "Thanks, Mom."

Mom sighed and looked her in the eyes. "It's good to have you back. I missed you very much," Mom said, cupping her face.

Tania smiled and hugged her Mom. Tania savored her Mom's smell and took comfort in her. Pulling back Tania asked. "Can I see him?"

Mom nodded, stepping aside. "Yes, but let him rest, and let me know if he wakes."

"Ok," Tania said, opening the door.

Tania closed the door, walking over to Logan. He looked pale, laying on the bed, eyes closed. What was she going to tell Marita?

"Listen, Logy, you better be ok, because I'm not going to be the one who explains to your future wife what happened to you!" Tania told him softly.

Logan's eyes fluttered opening slightly. "You called me Logy," his rusty voice scratched out.

Tania smiled. "Morning, way to get stabbed!"

Logan grimaced, opening his eyes wider. "Eh... No big deal," Logan tried to blow it off, but Tania could see the pain in his eyes.

"I'll go get my Mom, she told me to tell her if you woke up," Tania said standing.

Tania called down to Mom, before re-entering the bedroom. Logan watched her sit down. "I guess I can't be of use anymore."

"What do you mean?" Tania asked, confused.

"I can't go out into the field and fight, when I'm stabbed," Logan answered.

Tania looked at Logan, sadly. "No you probably won't be able to," Tania said.

"Well, I need to get home anyway. As soon as your Mom finishes looking at me, I have to go back across the border," Logan says smiling.

Mom entered the room, taking over, asking questions and check his bandages. After she left Logan watched Tania with sleepy eyes.

Tania sat next to Logan, she didn't know when this feeling had grown in her chest, but Logan was starting to feel like a brother to her. "Get some sleep."

Logan nodded, closing his eyes. Tania walked toward the door, but paused hen she heard Logan's voice. "Tania?"

"Yes, Logan?"

"Be careful, ok? I won't be there to have your back," Logan said.

"I will, you just get better," Tania promised.

Tania walked into town, she was in the Half-Time now. Tania could hear yelling on the streets and walked up to see a crowd, on a porch Jack and Carl stood in front of tue crowd, yelling above the crowd. "We need to attack these monsters, before they attack us!"

Tania ran forward pushing between people. The crowd roared with everything they said. Tania jumped on the porch and yelled above the noise. "No, stop! Don't listen to them!"

Carl and Jack turned, looking at her. "Tania, what are you doing here?"

"I'm stopping you," Tania turned facing the crowd. "They're lying to you. I've lived with the Darkened for almost all my life, they've never hurt me in anyway! All they want is peace, but these hunters won't let them!"

"Why should we trust you?!" Someone shouted, the crowd nodding in approval.

"Look, all I can say is the werewolves took me in, when my family, my human family abandoned me! That's more then any human has ever done for me. Can you say the same for your race? Did they save you when no one else could?" Tania continued.

The crowd rustled, a murmur running through the crowd. "No, don't listen to her. Those monsters brain washed her! She's just going to get you all killed!" Carl shouted.

The crowd seemed to split, half wanted to go and fight, the other half wanted peace. The noise rose to a loud roar, until finally Carl broke the roar.

"Those who are with us, come! We must prepare for battle!" Carl shouted, but Tania stopped him.

"I know what you were planning to do to that little girl!" Tania shouted. A silence filled the air, so silent you could here a pin drop. "You all here know Logan, Logan Hanson, yes?"

A murmur echoed around them, followed, but some nods of heads.

"He was stabbed trying to save a little girl's life, from the hands of these monsters. These hunters!" Tania shouted. Many of the people who were planning on following Jack and Carl shuffled their feet.

Suddenly a small voice spoke up behind Tania. "It's true."

The girl from last night walked on the porch, blonde hair glistened in the sunlight. "Hanna, what are you doing?!" An older woman shouted.

"Sorry Mama, but last night these two guys grabbed me out of bed, gaged me, dragged me out to the Dark Forest. They called themselves hunters," Hanna said.

The crowd gasped, and one shouted. "How did you get away? Why didn't we know about this?"

Hanna looked at Tania, a thankful look. "She saved me, with Logan's help, but Logan was hurt real bad. When I ran into to town I tried to tell my Mama what happened, but more hunter showed up. They bribed Mama to keep me quiet," Hanna finished.

Many gasped and looked at Hanna's mom while others stared angrily at Carl and Jack.

"You stupid little-" Jack growled, launching himself at Hanna, but Tania stepped in the way.

Drawing her sword Tania warded his blow off. Kicking him in the gut. Tania swung her sword, stopping it at his neck. "How dare you threaten a child!"

Carl watched Jack with worried eyes. "What are you going to do? Kill him?"

"I should, since you guys killed my father, but I won't because my people taught me to not be a murderer," Tania snarled, shoving Jack away from her. "Get out of here before I change my mind."

Carl snarled. "This isn't over," then climbed off the stairs following Jack.

"I know it isn't," Tania said sadly.
