Tania stood, armor and weapons covered her body. They stood practically on the boarder, Jay, Tania, and their mother in front, everyone else's behind them.
Jay had earlier tried to convince Tania not to be on the front lines, but Tania refused to be anywhere else.
Two people walked forward, Jack and Carl, they stopped in front of the border. "Surrender and we'll make your deaths painless!" Jack called.
"Sorry we just really don't want to die in general," Jay called, his voice snarky.
"You really don't know who you facing," Carl called.
"Oh, I think we do," Jay said, growls ripped the night, making Tania shiver.
Anticipation cause her heart to beat faster. Sweat dotted her palms, and it took everything not to grab her swords.
Carl and Jack unsheathed their swords. "Just remember this is your fault." At the same time Jack and Carl uttered a battle cry, holding their swords in the Darkened direction.
Body's started pouring out of the woods from Half-Time. All were screaming and running with weapons.
Jay held up his hand, fist closed. "Wait," Jay shouted, to us. Tania grinned, this was going to be epic. Jay dropped his first. "Now!" He shouted.
Suddenly vampires flooded in from the sides, enclosing the Hunters, they were stuck now. A matter of life or death now.
Jay drew his sword, Tania following suit. "Charge!!"
Tania sprinted forward, running into the crowd of Hunters. Tania blocked, paired, strikes, ducked, and did it again.
Sweat coated her forehead and Jay, Tania, and Sam fought back to back. Just like old times. Breathing hard, Tania recognized someone in the crowd. Harry.
Tania ran forward, ignoring Sam's shouts of confusion. Tania leapt at Harry, sword at the ready, but he turned suddenly.
Blocking Tania's thrust, Harry flung his sword at her head. Tania ducked and came up behind him swung for his feet, quickly turning Harry jumped above the swing. Tania then swung another hit, one after another, each one being blocked.
But Harry was tiring, Tania could feel his energy slipping. Tania felt more energy as she fought. Tania kept swinging, faster and faster, until her sword was just a blur.
Unable to keep up, Harry was hit. Tania sword had hit his arm, chopping it off. Harry screamed holding the stub of his arm. Breathing heavily Harry looked up and said. "Do it, finish it."
Tania opened her mouth, but was cut off by a sudden roar. Looking up Tania was surprise to see a huge black dragon flying over them.
A bright light flashed, making Tania look away. The light burned her eyes, and the sudden smell of burning skin make her nose want to cry.
Cool air hit Tania in waves, woosh, pause, woosh, pause. Looking up the black dragon stood over her. You've done well, child.
"You killed them! All of them!" Tania cried, horrified by the scene displayed in front of her.
Yes, there won't be peace if they're around. That's all I want and you helped me get that, youngling. The dragons voice echoed in her head.
"But I didn't want them dead!" Tania exclaimed, exasperated.
No child you didn't. Then Baltizar brought his head closer to her. In reward for helping me, I will give you your own land. A land for mixes of The Darkened and the Lightened. You will live there with your brother, Logan, and his soon to be wife. The place will be called The Dawn.
"The Dawn? But I don't want that! I just want to go back to my normal life," Tania objected. This conversation was turning fast, what about the hundreds of people he just killed.
Baltizar shook his huge head, and looked at her. I'm sorry, but you are now the symbol of peace between the Darkness and the Light. You are the symbol of Dawn. I'm sorry child, but it's who you are, deep down.
Tania looked down, what about her family? What about her life? She wondered. This was all happening way to fast.
Do not worry child. Your werewolf family can still see you. Your life will continue, just differently then it was. Did you really think things would go back to normal?
Tania hesitated, but shook her head. "N-No, but I hoped."
Yes, child, you did. Practice your powers, they might come in handy some day. Baltizar looked toward the border. Suddenly the Darkness was pushed back and the Light was darker. The land continued following the boarder. It glowed golden, but wasn't as bright as the light-side.
This is where you shall live child. I hope you enjoy your new home.
