Ray waited by the ladies room for Jamie. After five minutes he had the waitress check on her to see if everything was alright. The waitress came out of the bathroom with her hands out.
"She's not in there," she said to Ray.
"Did you see her leave?" he asked.
"No. I was busy in the kitchen," the waitress said.
Ray walked back to his office and started all the paper work for Jamie.
Jamie strarted a pot of coffee then sat at the kitchen table thinking where and when to hide the other three time machine watches. She thought I can't hide them in the past because I'd need a time machine to retrieve them or would I? If I hide one under a floor board here I could retrieve it in the future. Jamie pried up the floor board and hid the time watch in a plastic box and hammered back down the floor board.
"Two more to go," Jamie said.
Chester clean himself after eating the pizza. Jamie got her second cup and thought some more. She had an idea about traveling twenty year into the future and see what building were still here. Jamie grabbed her scarf and went out into the apartments foyer and activated her watch. Jamie jump twenty year into the future. There was no building only a vacant lot. She examined the ground and found small pieces of chard wood. Suddenly she knew that the building had been burnt down. She walked down the street to find to find a suitable place to hide her time watches. Then she thought in two weeks I'll be able to afford any type of vault I want. Jamie clocked her watch and appeared in her front room again twenty years back in time.
Jamie hid the other two watches with their chargers under the floor board too. She opened her laptop and started looking for a new house. Chester jumped up on the table and layed next to the laptop. She turned the screen to where he could look at the houses too.
"Do you like this one?" she asked him, "how about this one with a big yard and no dogs?" she continued.
He meowed at the big yard.
"Ok you like a big yard," Jamie said with a laugh.
"Want to live on the beach and chase fiddler crabs?" she asked.
Chester put his paw on the screen when it showed the fiddler crabs running on the beach.
"I'm gonna take that as a yes. Let's see where that's at. It says Isle of Palms near Charleston South Carolina. I've heard of that place with all the old building and cool restaurants," Jamie said.
She looked at the wall clock and seen it was getting late so her and Chester went to bed. He slept at her at her feet and she drifted off to sleep.
