"I've got to go back in time to keep the professor from stealing my research," Jamie said.
"Isn't that going to be dangerous? What if you accidentally change the timeline? " Chester questioned.
"That's what I'm hoping to do, to change it for the better," Jamie answered
"Do you remember when you first met that creep?" Chester asked
"He snuck up from behind me and watched me perform a test on the techeon equations. I believe it was at that point he alerted the government," Jamie answered.
"Will you be able to convince your other self that your telling the truth when you go back?" Chester asked.
"I hope so," Jamie said.
"Was there anyone else that knew of your work?" Chester asked.
"There was the weekly reports that I had to send to Dean Johnson about any work. I would always ask him what he thought about my work? He would say that he's very busy and haven't had a chance to look at them yet, " Jamie said.
"You'll have to get them too," Chester said.
"That won't be a problem because they keep them all in an office cabinet in Dean Johnson's office," Jamie said.
"How about your co-workers. Did you ever talk to them about your work?" Chester asked.
"Yes all of them," Jamie said.
"Well this is going to be harder to accomplish than we thought," Chester said.
"Your right. I have to go back to the day after I thought up the techeon funnel because I don't want interfere with the fresh ideas of the techeon funnel until are formed solid in my mind," Jamie said.
"How far will you have to go?" Chester asked.
"Two years," Jamie said.
"Do you remember which day?" Chester asked.
"Yes. the first day of May," Jamie replied.
"So you want to arrive on the second day?" Chester asked.
"Yes. I remember it exactly," Jamie said.
"Are you ready to leave Jamie?" Chester asked.
She checked her bag and added fresh batteries, two snacks and a bottle of water. Jamie picked up Chester and hugged him tightly and kissed his nose. He purred.
"I'm ready to go and fix this mess. I won't be long," Jamie said.
"If I don't see you again remember that I love you," Chester said with teary eyes.
"Don't talk like that Chester. I love you too," She said with a sniffle as she clocked her watch and vanished.
