Jamie drove her car into the opened garage of the beach house. Chester sat at the top of the stair to the house, waiting to welcome them home.

"Did you bring anything home for me?" Chester asked.

Jamie smile at Ellen.

"Why yes we did. We brought you home a puppy," Jamie said.

"What do we need a dog for?" Chester asked.

"I need someone here to protect the house when we're out saving lives and time traveling," Jamie said.

"So I get to be your sidekick?" Chester asked.

"If you still want to," Jamie said.

Chester jumped and landed in Jamies arms. He purred like crazy because he was happy. Chester looked up at Jamie.

"Thanks Jamie we'll have the best adventures," he said.

"Chester I'm going to be honest with you. I need you to spot all and any cameras, so I can keep my identity a secret," Jamie said.

"Well what about my identity?" Chester asked.

"You don't have to worry because they haven't developed any software to identify any cats faces yet," Jamie said with a smile as she sat Chester down.

"Are you two super heroes hungry? I'm going to make Swiss steak with mash potatoes and green beans for supper tonight," Ellen said.

"Thanks mom that will be great," Jamie said.

"What's Swiss steak?" Chester asked.

"One of my favorite meat dishes," Jamie answered.

Ellen made supper and they ate out on the deck. Chester make a low meowing sound as he ate the Swiss steak. Jamie thought back to all the times she had enjoyed her mom's most favorite meal. She enjoyed her mom staying with her.

"That was some delicious supper mom," Jamie said.

"Thank you darling. I love staying with you and Chester, but I found myself getting home sick," Ellen said.

"Mom I have to ask a favor of you," Jamie said.

"What is it honey?" Ellen asked.

"I need you to become part of our time traveling team," Jamie said.

"I'd like to, but I don't know the first thing about it," Ellen said.

"That's alright I'll explain everything," Jamie said.

Jamie helped bring in the dishes then closed all the big curtains that covered the huge glass windows which faced the ocean. She pulled out the four time machine watches and handed one to Ellen. Jamie explained how the device worked by harnessing all the stray techeon particles through the tiny funnel. Jamie also showed her how the controls worked. Ellen put on the watch tested it out. In no time, Ellen had mastered the watch.

"Mom I need you to promise that you'll only use the watch to check in on Chester and me every two weeks, in case something goes wrong when were saving people," Jamie said.

"Okay I promise," Ellen said.

"I have a gift for you," Jamie said as she returned the watches to the safe.

Jamie brought in a medium sized hand bag filled with stacks of one hundred dollar bills. Ellens face lit up when she seen all the money.

"Since your on our team you have to get paid," Jamie said.

"How much is here?" Ellen asked.
