Jamie yawned as she rolled over in bed. Chester was asleep on his pillow next to her. She looked at her alarm clock and thought I'm not going to need this anymore. Chester eyes opened as Jamie sat on the edge of the bed.
"Time to get up," Jamie said.
Chester meowed and jumped off the bed. Jamie dressed in her business suit with a nice pair of flat shoes. She check to see if Chester had fresh water and food. A toasted cinnamon raisin bagel and coffee was breakfast. Jamie kissed Chester and locked her front door. When she opened the car door she could still smell the garlic from last nights supper. The bag must have leaked. Jamie drove downtown because that was where all the lawyer's offices were. She hunted for a parking spot then parked her car. She looked at all laywers names on the wall inside of the lobby of the building.
She wondered which one could see trust, so she interviewed three of them. The first one was a divorce lawyer. The second on was a real estate lawyer and the third was tax account lawyer. Jamie picked the tax account lawyer because he was accustomed to handling money and seemed honest. His name was Ray Eastman and he looked handsome in his suit. Jamie wiggled in her seat because it was third interview this morning.
"Ray I think I'll have you as my lawyer," Jamie said.
"Thank you Miss Granger. It's close to lunch time lets get a bite to eat while you tell me why you need a lawyer," Ray said.
"That sounds good but is has to be a private place where no one can hear use talk," Jamie said.
"Pitorro's pizza pallor has a private dinning room," Ray said.
"That sounds good. I love pizza," Jamie said with a smile.
Ray told his receptionist to hold all his calls that he's going out for lunch. He held open the office door for Jamie.
"Thank you," she said.
"Your welcome," Ray said.
Ray walked next to Jamie and pointed out Pitorro's pizza. It was only two city blocks away. He opened the door for her as Pitorro greeted them.
"Hi here's my favorite customer and his beautiful date," the old Pitorro said in his Italian accent.
"Hi Mr. Pitorro. We need a private dinning room to discuss business," Ray said.
He showed them the room that could hold sixteen people. They took the seats at the far end of the room.
"Would you like the usual cheese and mushroom pizza?" Mr. Pitotto asked.
"Yes and could I get a salads for us," Ray asked as he opened his brief case that he placed on the table.
"With a cup coffee please," Jamie requested. The door to the room closed.
"Now Jamie how can I help you?" Ray asked.
"I need your ultimate loyalty and silence and in what I'm about to ask from you as my lawyer," Jamie said with a serious look on her face.
"I promise to be loyal and protect you in every way I can," Ray said.
"Good. I have won the sixty- four million dollar lottery and need you to carry out my plan to stay anonymous and shelter the money," Jamie said.
"Okay. What would you like to talk about first?" Ray asked. They stopped talking as the waitress brought in the drinks then she left.
"First you will be the one who bought the winning lottery ticket. You will have to get your self another lawyer who you can trust, one that you currently have never met. That lawyer shall never know of me. Next I would like you to set up a Swiss bank account for the money then I need you to create a corporation for me and hire me as the CEO paying me a million dollars every two week until the moneys used up," Jamie said. Ray was busy writting all this down.
"Wow. You have really thought this out," he said.
The door opened and they stopped talking. Their lunch was ready.
