Just When Things Got Better

"Hey Flippy!" Nutty ran across the hall and over to the green haired boy. Flippy smiled at him as came over. "Hey, 'sup." Its been a week already and Nutty was finally treating Flippy like a friend instead of some vicious murderer. "Nothin' much. Was hang out with Sniffles, but he started talking in some kind of foreign language and all I asked was "why was biology so hard". Then I saw you walking by so I ditched him. He probably won't notice I'm gone until he's done talking." Nutty laughed. Flippy could only smile at him. Not because of what he was saying, but because he was speaking to him in general. He was talking to him with such happiness in his voice.
It was better this way....but now he felt like he wanted a bit more.

"Hey!" Flippy whispered to Nutty, who sat in the desk in front of him. Nutty turned to see Flippy handing him a peice of candy. His eyes widened and his mouth seemed to water. The teacher patted him down when he first came to class and took his bag so he couldn't eat. Nutty eagerly and happily took the candy from him and quickly ate it. "Thanks." Nutty whispered to him and Flippy nodded.
After sneaking Nutty his 5th piece of candy, they were caught. "Your encouraging this Flippy!" Mr.Lumpy said in shock and disappointment. "Your sneaking Nutty candy now? And right in front of me?!" The two stayed silent, but looked as if they wanted to laugh.

"Aww, he put us out." Nutty said pouting. "We have about an hour left for this period. We can count it as a free and do whatever we want." Flippy said as he watched Nutty digs through his bag to grab a sucker. "Lets ditch school!" Nutty cheered. Flippy shook his head. "We have one last period after this. I usually would, but on an occasion like this I can't." Nutty sighed. "I just have Gym last. We don't do anything there. We just show up and that's our "A" for the day." Flippy thought for a moment before shrugging. "Oh well, guess we're walking around the school until it's time for next period." He said and began walking. "What?! Just walking around the building for an hour!? That's way too boring for me!" Nutty groaned at the idea.

"So, what are you up to after school?" Flippy asked Nutty. "Was planning on seeing my brother. He came back to visit me." Nutty smiled. Flippy nodded. "Where does he go all the time?" Nutty shrugged. "He cares for the mental. I don't really know what goes on in his life. Mad is very secretive. He doesn't even like being called Mad anymore and wants to be called by his name completely. He changes more and more." Flippy looked at Nutty's concerned and saddened face. After his mom died, Mad was all he had and his brother knew that. Even though he's aware, he continues to leave Nutty alone repeatedly. Nutty just hangs onto the rare visits his brother gives him so he wouldn't seem alone. Yep, Flippy wanted to be there for him unlike his brother is. Honestly, Flippy always thought he was an ass.

"Flippy! Flippy!" Flippy shook his head and looked at Nutty. "What?" Nutty looked at him oddly. "You dozed off again. Every time I mention him, you doze off." Flippy chuckled. "Sorry, I was just thinking about... something I left in class. I don't think I got all my stuff." Nutty rolled his eyes. "Liar."

"Finally! The bell!" Nutty shouted in relief. "I'm never getting put out of class with you again!" Nutty pointed to Flippy's face. "Wha? What the hell did I do?" Nutty pouted. "You had me waste away time to walk around the building when we could be doing other fun things.." Flippy just strugged. Nutty walked towards the gymnasium, not before waving goodbye to Flippy first. Having Nutty leave was upsetting, but he'd try to catch up with him after the day was over.

The entire class period, Flippy could not stop tapping his foot and glaring at the cloak. Although his tapping annoyed some of his classmates, they knew not to say a word to him. He waited for the end of the day. He really wanted to see Nutty again, right now even if he just saw him not that long ago. It was about an hour and a half left of class. Flippy groan as the time seemed to tease him. Sighing, Flippy raised his hand. "Yes Flippy?" His teacher said once he had gotten her attention. "I need to go to the bathroom...now." The teacher nodded. "Um, ok. Go ahe-" Flippy quickly got up and quickly walked out of the room. "Odd. I guess he really had to go."

Flippy quickly went down the school's stairs that led to the gym. Once he was at the door, he peeked inside. Some people were playing baseball or walking around and others sat in the bleachers. That's were he spotted Nutty. Nutty sat in the bleachers with Giggles, Lifty, Shifty and Flaky. They all were talking and laughing. It was too loud and they were too far for Flippy to actually hear them. He smiled as he watched Nutty. Soon enough, Giggles saw something and beckoned everyone to come with her. When she ran off, Flaky followed her. Nutty got up to go with them, but Shifty grabbed his wrist and smiled at him, making him sitting back down. Flippy's smile vanished and he frowned at the scene.

Shifty had his hand placed on Nutty's as he sat next to him and Lifty, who sat infront of Nutty, laid on Nutty's lap looking up at him smiling. Nutty looked a bit confused by their actions and had a slight blush on his face as they spoke.

Flippy refused to see more. He stood outside next to the door with a frown upon his face. "Were the twins just flirting with Nutty?" Flippy asked in his head. Just thinking about it again made his blood boil. He was making his way there with Nutty. He was pretty sure he had no competition.
Turns out he was wrong.

"Flippy!" Flippy left his class after the bell rung. He spent the rest of the day sleeping in class. He turned to see Nutty comung up to him. "Hey Nutty." Flippy rubbed his neck. "You ok?" Flippy took a moment and just stared at him. "Are you?" He finally responded. Nutty nodded. "Hm? Why?" The slightly taller male asked suspiciously. Nutty laughed. "Why are you acting so different? Did you get in trouble?" Flippy shook his head. "Let's just go, ok?" Flippy walked off and Nutty followed him.

"I had improved so much. Don't mess that up. No killing. No violence."
