Part 16 : Unclear Reality

Leah's POV

Joe's hands were round Alfie's neck. He was red with anger. I knew Joe wouldn't kill him though. He wasn't like that. Zoe came scrambling down the stairs with two pairs of keys. She ran over to Caspar and uncuffed him.

She then ran over to Joe and ripped him of Alfie. They then handcuffed Alfie to the banister. Followed by Marcus. They walked up to me and stood in a semi-circle around me. I expected one of them to lean down and uncuff my wrists but they didn't, they just stood there. Joe started to kick me. Zoe started laughing and Caspar kicked me aswell. I didn't understand what was happening. I tried to scream for help but nothing came out. Joe ripped the tape off my lips and it burned like fire. My lips started throbbing and they all started laughing and kicking me. I felt so betrayed...by everyone. Not just by Alfie or Marcus...but by Zoe, Joe and Caspar aswell.
Why did everyone hate me!
I hated them aswell. I hated them all like I'd never hated anyone before. I didn't dare look at them anymore.

They stopped laughing and kicking me and I looked up to see what was going on. Nobody. There was no one there. No Joe. No Zoe. No Caspar. No Alfie. No Marcus. I looked around the room. My eyes stopped at the kitchen. I saw them all standing...together...laughing. At something that must have been absolutely hilarious. They were laughing that laugh that you only laugh when your with your friends. That means they're friends!

'What the heck is going on?' I screamed as loud as I could.
They completely ignored me. Like i wasn't there.
'Help!Help! Help me please!' I shouted hoping someone would hear me. I doubted any one would.

Suddenly there were several bangs at the door and then the door fell in. My eyes went cloudy. I couldn't see clearly. But something felt weird. Everything felt more real. But not totally really. Somebody picked me up and carried me out of the house. I felt their gentle and loving hands around me.
'It's going to be okay. We're out now.' I heard a familiar voice say. Joe.
