Part 18 : Hospitals

Leah's POV

I woke up in a hospital bed. I opened my eyes and immediately closed them after I was almost blinded by light. Zoe shouted for Joe and he came running in, spilling his coffee on the floor.

'Leah. Oh my god Leah. Thank goodness your awake. I was so worried. I'm so sorry Leah. I...i...' I cut him of with a kiss. I knew what he was going to say and I needed him to know that I loved him too.

Zoe pushed Joe to the side and broke our kiss. She reached over to me as embraced me in a loving hug. I feel like I'd really gotten close to Zoe.

'Joe I need to talk to you...alone.' I said nervously not wanting to hurt Zoe's feelings.
Zoe gave me a re-assuring smile as she walked out of the room.
'So are we...boyfriend and girlfriend now or...?' I asked shyly
'I want to be...do you?' He was just as shyly as me.
'Yes I do.' I said more happily.
Joe leaned in and kissed me with more love than anyone had ever kissed me.

Zoe peeped her head around the corner 'Leah sorry to break this up but your mums here.' She said sweetly.
My mum came rushing in through the door. She walked up to me and just started crying whilst holding my hand. I cried too holding her hand so tightly never wanting to let go.
'Leah. I've missed you so much. I never thought I'd see you again. I love you.' She managed to squeeze out. 'Mum I love you so much more than you can ever imagine.'

For the rest of the day I sat talking with my mum, Joe, Zoe and Caspar. I slept quite a bit but I knew someone was always around. I felt safe...something which I hadn't felt in a long time.
