Leah's POV

2 hours later

Joe had gotten better. Meaning there was less blood-spitting and coughing going on. Alfie had wandered aimlessly up and down the stairs for the past hour. I presumed he was thinking about Zoe. I knew that was the only reason he was doing this again...To get Zoe back...again.

The phone rang. Alfie answered it and soon became very angry. He stormed back in and walked up to us. He uncuffed me and dragged me downstairs. As we came down the stairs I noticed Caspar's door was closed. I shouted for Caspar and soon heard a yell back. Soon after that I felt a hard slap on my face. Not wanting to open my eyes, I felt my weak body being dragged into joes room. He lay me on the floor beside the radiator then handcuffed my hands to the pipe. I lay on the floor for about 10 minutes with my eyes closed. I managed to open them and quickly closed them again to see Alfie standing above me. He crouched down next to me and started stroking my head. I flinched at first and he hit me. I stayed as still as possible after that. He hit me a few more times like I was just some kind of stress ball to him.

After he'd finished hitting me he walked away...happily. He walked up the stairs and came down again, followed by another's footsteps. I hoped it wasn't Joe. It was. Alfie kicked behind his knees forcing him to the floor. He punched Joes chest what seemed like a hundred times. He let out painful yelps every now and again. I couldn't bare it. I closed my eyes screaming as loud as I could. I eventually blacked out, not wanting to see Joe like this.

I woke up in a different room. It wasn't even in Joes house. It seemed like a warehouse. It was dark and very horror movie-like. I was sitting on a chair and I could feel someone else's presence in the room. I turned my head to see Joe sitting on chair behind me. His head was tilted forwards and there was a puddle of blood around the chair beneath him. I screamed his name as loud as I could. He didn't even flinch. Tears started pouring out of my eyes. What if I'd lost him...forever?
