Dante drove to the movies holding her hand the entire ride. He had slow jams playing in the car from what she guessed to be a CD he'd made. She laughed thinking who still makes CD's. But she didn't mind. There was a mix of old school and new school music which is what she listened to on the regular so she wasn't complaining. She looked down at their hands holding each others as "So into You by Tamia" started to play. She couldn't put a finger on it but she kind of liked the look of it. All this attention from Des was getting to her and she kind of thought that maybe he might actually like her. She still didn't understand why. She wasn't sure why Dante was feeling me either but she at least knew his like was for certain. He'd been what Tan says flirting with her for what seemed like an eternity. She hoped it wasn't to play a game on her. She wouldn't know what to do with herself if she got played. She just brushed that thought out of her head as they pulled up to the theater. He took her to a popular couple's theater that was connected to the normal AMC Theater. She'd never been but she knew it was set up for couples. Love seats were set for each pair and they also bring food to each table. When we arrived he found a spot quick and came around to open the door for her. She was wearing a tank top, jeans and a thin cardigan. She was kind of excited but didn't let it show. He helped her out of the car and put his arm around her waist as they began to walk toward the doors. She was a bit uncomfortable at first but became relaxed after a while.
"What were you thinking about seeing?" He asked her breaking the silence. She broke her gaze from the night sky and turned to look at him not even knowing what was coming out this weekend. She'd meant to look up movies before he came but got kind of distracted with Des.
"Honestly, I don't even know what's coming out. We'll just find something up here." She said honestly.
"Ok that's fine." He said. Once they got to the counter they looked over it for a while and decided on Deadpool. They walked into the movie after getting popcorn and a couple of drinks (He got money lol) and took seats closer toward the back. They arrived just as the previews were starting.
After the movies, Dante had taken Addisyn to the beach.
"It's really pretty out here." Addisyn said kicking her feet in the sand wet sand that was under the water.
"Just like you." Dante said smiling. Addisyn smiled. "No, really Addisyn, like you're so breathtaking."
"Thanks Dante, really. That's so sweet of you." She said looking at him. His facial expression changed and he looked out at the water like something was on his mind. She just kept quiet and waited for him to come clean.
"So what's up with Tandie's brother being so over protective of you?" He asked. He thought back to the day at the track and wasn't so sure why he was so stuck on Addisyn. She was pretty but he was literally the King of LA. He could have any girl he wanted. Was he just protecting his sister's best friend? He wasn't sure so he decide to ask for clarity.
Addisyn sighed in frustration at the thought of Desmond. She was still unsure what his intentions were.
"He's just trying to play big brother. Don't mind him." she said. He looked at her hoping she was being honest.
"Okay, I'll take your word for it." He said. He felt his phone vibrate in his pocket then grabbed it out of his pocket. It was his mother asking how everything was going. He texted her back immediately and noticed the time. "Wow its twenty to 10. We better get you home."
"Okay." Addisyn said.
They walked to Dante's car ready to drive Addisyn home.
