Desmond sighed as he laid in bed next to Chanel, a girl that did work for his gang. He thought sex would take his mind off of Addisyn but it only made him want her more. He even called her Addy. It's like the more she resists me the more I want her. He thought to himself. He didn't know what to do. He was going out of his mind trying to get with Addisyn. But it was always the same Nigga interfering with that happening, Dante. I should have killed him when I had the damn chance. Desmond thought to himself again. Finally he got up and got dressed.

Desmond looked through his phone as he saw Addy's number. He dialed it and it rang three times, then finally she picked up.

"Hello?" He heard her angelic voice answer.

"Addy it's me Desmond." He said.

"What do you want now Desmond?" She asked. He sighed.

"Look I just want to talk to you, that's it. Please Addy. After that we never have to speak to each other again." He said trying to give it one last chance even though he knew he couldn't stay true to his statement. Addy was quiet for a while. She definitely had mixed feelings about Des and to hear him say they never have to talk again kind of hit a soft spot in her heart. It wasn't what she wanted. She figured no harm could come from talking so she agreed.

"Fine! When do you want to talk?" She asked.

"I can be on my way now maybe I could pick you up and we could just talk and drive." He suggested. She was quiet for a few seconds.

"Alright. Beep the horn when you're outside." She said.

"Okay, I shouldn't be long." Desmond said. He hung up and turned the corner from a park a few miles from her place. He pulled up to her house and beeped the horn. Addisyn came running out of the house and into Desmond's car.

"That was quick." She said.

"I know." He said speeding off.

Addisyn and Desmond drove for what seemed like 20 minutes to an abandoned home in perfect condition. Desmond had found it back when he first got his license. He wanted to make it his headquarters but it seemed too romantic for a bunch of men.

"Is this like your second house or something?" Addisyn asked nervously.

"I guess except Tandie doesn't know about it. No one does." He said. Addisyn got a little scared but brushed it off and nodded. They got out of the car walked in and Addisyn sat down on the living room couch.

"So what is it that you wanted to talk about?" Addisyn asked. Desmond walked over after taking his shoes off and sat down next to her on the couch.

"Us." He said. She huffed knowing he would say something like that.

"Desmond-"

"Addy," He said cutting her off. "I get it you're with that Bitch Ass Nigga. But baby why deny you feeling me? I see it in your eyes all the time. You fight it. You might feel the same way about him because you've known him longer, but man you can't say we don't have that connection." Desmond said. Addisyn buried her face in her hands so confused. She couldn't lie there was something she was feeling but she didn't like his controlling and cocky ways. Desmond was everything she wasn't used to and liked but Dante was what she needed. He was sweet to her and even though he seemed way out of her league she knew he was a catch. Des was a walking target and she couldn't do that to herself. There was something different that she felt when she was around him that she just never felt with Dante. It was a feeling of security or a lightness around him. She felt like the most beautiful girl in the world. Dante was a great boyfriend but he was just always at practice. When they were together they did have a good time but the feelings were different with them both. She wanted both Dante and Desmond. But as the saying goes: You can't eat your cake and have it too. She sighed.

"Desmond, I can't lie and say that there is nothing. I do care about you but I'm with Dante." She told Desmond. He sighed,

"I have to have you in my life. We can start out as friends. NO guarantee. We'll be careful extra careful we won't even talk to each other around other people. No one will know we're cool except us, if that's what you want. I'll be patient and the second he fucks up after I whoop his ass, I'll be right there like a knight in shining armor." Desmond said with a Kool-Aid smile on his face. Addisyn looked away from Desmond not wanting his look to effect the outcome of her answer. She sighed.

"Alright, but we have to be careful. I know Dante's not going to go for the whole were friends things so let's just keep it under wraps for a while until this whole thing cools down ok?" she said finally. Desmond smiled. Finally, he'd won her over.

"I will." he said. He kissed Addisyn on the cheek and they chilled and watched TV until it was time for her to go home.
