Rumor Has It!

Addisyn sat in the library for study hall. All day people had been whispering and sneaking looks at her. For some reason it bothered her. She had no idea what she had done to make anyone want to eye ball her like she was royalty. She thought maybe it was that people saw her and Dante at the movies or maybe at the beach. She was terrified. She'd hadn't made up her mind about if she wanted to take things further with him or just remain friends. Finally someone walked up to her in the library Anastasia a girl who also had study hall. She saw her every day this quarter and never had she spoke to her one time.

"Hey Addisyn!" She said sitting down at the table.

Addy looked confused. She knew this had to be about Dante so she prepared for the worst. She remembered seeing Anastasia at a game or two so maybe she had a crush on him.

"What's up?" she asked nonchalantly. She didn't want to show emotion because she didn't know how exactly how she should be feeling. She did hope however that she had some answers as to why everyone was eyeing her like so.

"How did you do it?" She said enthused.

"How did I do what?" Addy asked confused.

"You know..." She said winking her eye.

"I'm lost." Addy said serious.

"How in the hell did you snag Des fine ass?" She said looking for an answer Addy couldn't give. Addisyn laughed, and I do mean hard. Don't get me wrong she did think Des was cute but the thought of other people actually thinking their dating was simply hilarious. Anastasia looked at her confused. "Damn, you got it like that?!" She asked rhetorically. Addy finally caught her breath.

"Girl, what are you talking about?"

Anastasia looked at her with sly eyes.

"I know he's a thug and all but you can tell me. I won't tell anyone. You two and Tandie and Killa is all everyone is talking about!" Addy couldn't help but get serious at that point.

"Wait, what? Me and Des and what?" She asked.

"You playing, you and Des make a cute ass couple though. And isn't Killa your brother?"

Addisyn sat there blank as Anastasia went on and on about how they were doing a family love triangle and it was so cute. All she could think of is who spread this lie? And what would Dante think of her? Their date was only this past weekend and she really enjoyed herself. Dating Des would mean that there would be no Dante, ever. She was unsure of what she wanted with him but still wanted to decide and this rumor would only cause problems. She eventually cut her off.

"I'm sorry Ana, but I have to go." She said as she gathered her things and ran to the cafeteria where Tandie was. Walking through the halls people were pointing and calling her over but she didn't stop. He face was turning a deep red and she was extremely mad. As soon as she walked into the cafeteria she saw Tandie with the same red look on her face rushing up to Addisyn.

"OUR BROTHERS SET US UP!" Tandie said in between catching her breath. Addisyn looked puzzled and upset.

"What the fuck is going on Tandie?" she asked hoping for a better understanding. Tandie took one deep breath and began to explain.

"Kyle and Desmond I fucking hate them!" She said. "They put out a rumor about us!" She continued to explain in detail Addisyn's mouth dropped.

"Well it's just a rumor. We can tell everyone it's not true." Addisyn said trying to stay calm. Tandie shook her head.

"No this is far beyond spreading lies." Addisyn couldn't believe it. "We don't have much of a choice. We have to date them." She said. I don't have to do shit, Addisyn thought. Her blood began to boil. Something told her this was Desmond's idea. She swallowed as hard as she could trying to stay calm. She couldn't wait to see Des, she had so many things to say and wanted to hurt him so bad.
