The next day at school, Addisyn couldn't get Des off her mind for some reason. She thought maybe 8th period gym would help. She walked to her locker to grab her gym bag. When she got there she twisted her lock and opened her door. She grabbed a bag that had been sitting there since Monday and closed her locker. When she turned around she saw Dante. She jumped at the sight of him.

"Hi." she said catching her breath.

"Hey." He said.

"Did I scare you?" He asked as they began to walk to the gymnasium.

"Just a little." She said. Dante chuckled.

"Well I'm sorry." He looked around kicking his feet and placed his hand behind his head rubbing his neck. "I was wondering if you wanted to go the movies this Friday." He said.

"Well who all is going?" She asked not thinking anything of it.

"If you say yes, me and you." He said smiling. Addisyn stood still after that statement. Was he asking her on a date? I thought I was the homegirl type. Maybe its was just as friends. She thought. Dante looked at her with a huge smirk on his face and pleading eyes. He was cute. He was a tall milk chocolate complexion with the deepest dimples and beautiful brown eyes. He wore braces but they looked good on him, not overpowering. His smile was coming together great but the more she thought about it the more it wasn't making sense to her. He played for the football team. Why was he trying to get with Addisyn? Was he trying to play her? Or did he actually like her? Either way she wasn't going to give him a straight forward yes or no. She had to think this over.

"Oh, I'll have to get back to you with an answer. Okay?" she said blushing.

"Sure." He said walking into the boy's locker-room. Addisyn walked into the girl's locker-room and met up with Tandie.

"You're saying yes!" Tandie said to Addisyn before she could even finish telling her what happened between her and Dante.

"Well I don't know, it just seems wrong." Addisyn said as she and Tandie were running around the track field.

"How does it seem wrong?" Tandie asked sounding out of breath.

"I don't know, people might think we're dating or something like that. I don't want anyone getting the wrong idea." Addisyn said. But before Tandie could respond to her comment, Dante began to run beside Addisyn.

"I thought I could maybe finish running with you ladies." he said moving in-between them. Addisyn began to blush and Dante smiled. As they continued to run, Tandie stopped. She noticing her brother sitting on his car smiling at her and watching Dante and Addisyn converse.

"Come on." she said to Dante and Addisyn. As they followed her off the field.

"What do you want?" she asked him with an unpleasant attitude. She hadn't forget what he said last night and she just knew he came up to the school to spy and stare at Addisyn. Des smiled and pulled out a rose gold iPhone 6s with a clear case on it.

"You left your phone at home. Didn't I say keep it with you at all times?" he said handing it to her.

"I forgot it okay. Thanks." She said. Des didn't want to show his bad side it took everything to not argue with his sister instead he just tapped his cheek with his index finger. "I said thanks!" She said crossing her arms across her chest. He tapped his cheek again. Tandie sighed rolled her eyes and stood on her toes to kiss him on the cheek. "You're so aggravating."

"Love you too!"

"Whatever. Remember, I won't be home until 6." she said. He nodded his head as she ran back off onto the field.

"Hey Addisyn." He said as she and Dante were still standing there. He licked his lips at her and smiled.

"I like your outfit." He said noticing her in her Nike gym shorts and a t-shirt.

"It's just a pair of shorts and a shirt." She said blushing. He smiled lifting off his car and grabbed her right arm and then her hand.

"I know." He said kissing it. At that point Addisyn's face was as red as a tomato. Dante had the sourest look on his face.

"Come on Addisyn, we have to finish the rest of the field." he said pulling on her left arm. Only at this point did Des noticed Dante was standing there. He only saw Addisyn.

"Bye Addy." He said calling her by her nickname for the first time. Addisyn ran off to the field and caught up with Tandie. She looked back to see Des rubbing his hands together biting his lip and staring at her.

As Dante was about to run off with Addisyn to the field. Des called him back.

"Ay yo." Des said to him. Dante turned around and walked back.

"What's good bruh?" He said. Dante wasn't what most would call a thug. He was a good guy, raised right by both parents respectable with just the right amount of "gangsta" in him. He couldn't fool Des even if he wanted to.

"Look I ain't gone go get angry wit you. I'm a just say stay away from Addisyn." Des said immediately turning his street persona back on. He was serious in his statement Dante looked at him puzzled by what he just said.

"Look, I know you the king of the streets and all that but I ain't gone back off a girl I want just because you want me to." He said. Des jumped off the car and stood up to Dante. Bed was 6'4and Dante stood at 6'2" both trying to scare the other to back down. Finally Des began to speak.

"Nigga you think I'm joking? Back off, I'm not asking. I plan on making her my woman. And I will do whatever it takes to get with her. Try me if you want." Des said lifting up his shirt to not only show a very clear visible six pack but to show a nine millimeter he had tucked away in his jeans. Dante took a deep breath as Des could see the fear showing through his ego.

"That's your game? Eliminating the competition? That's some weak shit. Because see, I know everything about her and I got a future. She like me and it's only a matter of time before I make her wifey." Dante said. Des gave him a smirk doing his best to keep calm on school grounds.

"Like I said, stay the fuck away from her." With that said, he got into his car and drove off. Dante just shook his head and ran back to the field. With hope that Addisyn would say yes to going to the movies with him, now more so than before.
