Chapter 33: Let Your Hair Down

~Mariah's P.O.V.~

"OH MY GOSH, I KNEW IT WOULD HAPPEN, DIDN'T I TELL YOU SO BECAUSE I DID," Callie screamed.

"Callie," I said. "Shh."

"HOW CAN I SHH WHEN THIS IS BIG NEWS?!" Callie screamed practically in my ear. Again.

"Well first, you calm down, then you close your mouth, and that's how you shh," I told her.

"Shut up," Callie laughs.

I closed the door and locked it when my cell phone began to ring in my pocket. I pulled it out and saw that it was Denise.

"Hi, Denise!"

"Why didn't you tell me you were dating Niall? Oh my gosh this is such big news!" Denise shrieked. In the background I hear Theo gurgling.

"Oooh! Tell Theo I said hi!" I exclaimed.

"Here, I'll put him on the phone!" Denise said excitedly.

Theo's gurgle noises get louder, so I assume the phone is closer to him and start talking. "Hi Theooo! How are you baby?" I coo into the phone.

All I get in response is a series of babbles, but I hear Denise's sweet laugh in the background before she puts the phone back to her own ear.

"So you and Niall are now official," Denise said slyly.

"Yeah." I feel a smile forming on my face and Callie nudging me.

"So I'll be seeing you soon, riiiight?"

"I don't know," I sigh. "The movie is taking a vacation and we're going on a cruise -"

"Oooohh," Denise squeals suggestively. "A cruise."

"Oh, shut it. Then we have to finish the movie because they already gave us a week and then plus this upcoming week. Niall and I could probably fly up the week after we finish filming while they're doing finishing things."

"Awesome! And so how much time of filming is left after that cruise?" Denise asks.

"Just over a week."

"Yay! I'm so excited! Oh by the way, I'm going to send pictures of Theo today. He can use his bottle all by himself already!"

"Awh, I can't wait to see that!"

"I know! Okay, so you have to go to work now, right?" Denise asks.

"Hah. Work. It's such a joke. In celebration of the vacation, we're taking a break. Seriously," I roll my eyes.

"Gosh, what is everyone doing for a break?"

"Well first we're starting late, having an easy day of acting, and then we're all meeting up at a club. What a joy," I say with no enthusiasm.

"Ouch," Denise says like she's cringing. She knows about how Ethan is, well, dead. Because of the influence. Which is, you know, at clubs.

"Yeah. Well, it was nice talking to you, Denise. We'll talk soon, okay?"

"Okay, bye!" she says cheerily.

"Bye!" I hang up the phone and turn my attention back to Callie.

"You two put together are way more peppiness than I can handle," Callie comments.

"If I put you and Louis's girlfriend together the world would probably explode, Callie." It's true.

"I need to meet this girl," Callie says thoughtfully.

We get in Callie's car, and she starts driving. Today the boys went to work separately from me.

"So tell me all about that kiss," Callie says.
