~Mariah's P.O.V.~

I jumped out from Niall's comforting grasp, forgetting my pain temporarily while I wiped at my eyes. Harry immediately turned back to where he came from, so I followed him all the way back to our rooms. I think Niall came too but I wasn't really paying attention. I'm not even sure who's room it was, all I know is that it wasn't the one that Callie and I shared.

When I ran in behind Harry I saw Callie crying into her hands.

"Cals?" I said worriedly. I'm sure my face was crinkled in concern. I was glad she wasn't hurt or anything though. Harry scared me big time.

She peeked up from behind her had a and sniffled. "Mariah," she whimpered.

"Honey c'mon over here," I said sadly and opened my arms.

Callie made her way over to me, wiping her eyes with the sleeve of her jacket, and just crumbled into my arms.

"Let's go into our room," I told her, and she left without another word. Before I was going to go, I turned to the frozen boys: Zayn, Harry, and Niall. "What happened?"

Harry shrugged. He still looked scared. "I dunno. We were just talking, the three of us, and Zayn was telling a story and was like, what were you like again?" Harry turned to Zayn.

Zayn bit his lip. "Uhh, something like 'Then when Liam and Danielle got their dog' and then she started to cry."

I made a face. "Huh," I said while I walked out of their room to go to the other one.

Callie was curled up on the posh sofa. When she looked up at me, her tears seemed pretty much gone.

"Hey, what was wrong?" I asked, taking a seat beside her.

"It was nothing, really. I'm tired from the long days we've had and I was just in a mood so I overreacted. That time of the month, ya know. I get really, really emotional."

"Ohh," I said in understanding, my pounding heart slowing down. "Gotcha. But what set it off?"

"Oh, Zayn just mentioned when Liam and Danielle got a dog together before they broke up and it reminded me of when an old boyfriend of mine and I got a goldfish together. Obviously that's not nearly as big, but the poor fishy died the day Michael and I broke up which was pretty sad for me at the time. I don't know."

"Whoa, you had a boyfriend?" I asked.

Callie let her jaw down like she was taking offense. "Jee, thanks! Just so you know, I wasn't always this way, having one-night stands." She paused, then added on. "Actually, that started after Michael and I broke up."

"How do you enjoy having one-night stands?" I asked. I was curious.

"I don't, anymore. I guess. That's probably why I was upset."

"Aw, I understand. Maybe you and Harry could try something together," I suggested. "I know he's been trying to stay with someone for more than a night too."

"But if we're both that way, I think that's like a recipe for disaster," Callie pointed out.

"That's true, I guess," I sighed.

"Plus, I met a cute guy today that also lives in New York," Callie said, a sly smile creeping onto her face.

"When we land in the Bahamas tomorrow, there's a beach party. He should take you," I suggested.

"Maybe..." Callie trailed off, thinking.

I patted her head and stood up. "See, you're all better now."
