~Mariah's P.O.V.~

Niall did wonders to calm me down. Just being in his arms when he was comforting me made me feel so much happier, anyway.

We broke apart when Niall's phone started ringing. He excused himself and left the room to go talk somewhere more alone.

I had started to get anxious when he came back with a great big smile on his face. "Mariah! My brother's son is goin' ta be born in a few days!" Niall talks fast, making his accent both more prominent and more cute. "And I get to go visit them!"

"That's wonderful! That's so exciting, tell your brother and his wife congratulations from me," I smile.

"Well, if you want, you could tell 'em yourself," Niall offers. "You could come with me, if you want."

"Really?" I asked, taken aback by surprised. I'd be meeting Niall's family....

But on the otherhand, that's really sweet of him to invite me to come to visit family because that's more of a personal thing. Does he not mind me being involved?

I try to ignore the slight thudding of my heart. "I'd like that," I manage to say with a smile. "I have to check with Mary though."

His forehead creases with confusion for a second before he remembers that Mary is my agent, like Paul is for the boys. "Oh, yeah, I guess that'd be a good idea," he smiles sheepishly.

"How long would we be gone?" I question Niall while scanning the room for my phone. I spot it on the table and grab it, starting a text to Mary.

"For a week, and I can arrange the flights," Niall says.

"You'd do that?" I ask, looking up from my phone in surprise. "Can't someone just do it for you?"

"Well yeah, but if I didn't have managers, no one would do it for me," Niall points out with a bashful shrug.

Well, that took me by surprise. He was acting less like a boy and more like a man. I didn't know any member of One Direction was capable of that one, except maybe Liam. Yeah, they're considered adults, but they definitely don't act like it.

I nod thoughtfully and type that into a text to Mary. As soon as I set it back on the table, it vibrates with Mary's name on the screen.

Sure, why not. Plus, you're meeting the family! That'll look good for your dating status with him. Just let me know the details so that I can tell James for film scheduling.

Wait. Mary is right. I'm meeting his family. That would look good publicly that I'm meeting them. Is that why he offered me, or just because?

Okay. I need to start breathing.

"Hey, Niall," I call over my shoulder to where he's shuffling around in the kitchen, trying to get myself back on topic. "How fast can you get those flight reservations?"

"Tonight, if I wanted, why?"

I don't answer his question. "Well, want to. They need to schedule scenes for the movie."

"All right," Niall shrugs. "I'll do that while you make me food?"

I laugh and roll my eyes. "I'd have to make you food anyway, so sure. My laptop is on my desk."

Niall heads down the hall to my room to fetch the computer while I get up to go to the kitchen. When he comes back, I start talking to him.

"So Mary was saying how this is perfect because it'll look like I'm meeting the family since we're dating and all," I say as casually as I can while taking out things to cook with and ingredients.
