Act Like You're in Love {Niall Horan}

Chapter 31: Lots of Things

~Mariah's P.O.V.~

"Take it from the top!" James Cameron shouts to the room. Everybody makes a move to scramble into their positions.

The cameras start rolling and the scene begins.

Randy gives me a dirty look, and then turns to Niall. He stares at Niall for a few seconds before growling.

"This isn't over."

My breaths quicken like I'm hyperventilating. Niall grips my hand for comfort, but just being with him is comfort enough.

Just then other policeman walks up holding Callie's wrists while she struggles. They shove her into the car next to Randy as she starts screaming.

"YOU CAN'T DO THIS!" Callie screams through the bars of the car windows while they close the door. "THIS ISN'T RIGHT!"

I whimper in fear and bury my head into Niall's chest. He wraps his arm around me and tightens his grip, pulling me closer to him.

"It's okay baby. Shh. It's going to be alright."

I tilt my head up slightly and peer at him. Despite the terror my character had just endured, I smiled. "I love you. Thank you so much. I'm so sorry that I had to put you through this."

Niall pulls away from me and places his hands on my shoulders. "Sofia. Don't be ridiculous. I would do anything for you because I love you with all of my heart. Never forget that, baby. I love you."

After we finish up practicing that scene, we take a break. Then we do a few more scenes that are like in the beginning of the movie. We just kind of skip around, but I don't know why.

We take a trip into the city, but the area is cleared out so that we don't have any distractions. They hired a whole bunch of excited extras to be on set instead.

"Great job everybody, fantastic job today, good work!" James was saying ecstatically to everybody as they walked out. I swear he never loses energy.

When we exited, all of the crew and actors were gathered in the lobby.

"Why's everyone crowding in here?" I ask to nobody in particular.

"I think I heard James say before that there's like an announcement or something," Zayn replies.

Soon we got our answer. James quieted everyone down, which seems to be a specialty of his. Everyone's ears were attentive as he opened his mouth for this announcement or whatever.

"We don't have much left in the movie," he begins. "I'm sad, because after that we have to part. But at the same time, I'm very happy about how far we've made it. So, we're having a vacation for a week and a half!"

Everyone breaks out into cheers. Amidst the noise I turn to grin at Callie. We're definitely going to have fun with this.

James looks like he still has something to say, so we all start to quiet down a bit. "Twentieth Century Fox is sponsoring this vacation. It would be a little too chaotic for all of us to go on one vacation, so we have a bunch of choices lined up. The sign-up sheets are at the front door. Now go, shoo!"

The small crowd disperses with excitement ringing through the air in the building. Immediately everyone starts to talk to others.

There are a whole lot of choices. Disney, a cruise, a beach trip, a Maroon 5 concert at Hershey Park, and more. Wow. They spoil us.

Callie and I exchange glances and grin. "The cruise," we say in sync and laugh.

We scrawl our names down and hurry away so that more people can see the lists. Callie and I chatter excitedly the whole way to the back rooms where our stuff is.
