I was hurt, that was for sure, but then I was mad too. "You're breaking up with me over this?"

"I guess so! I trusted you, you did something I told you I didn't want you to do, and you disrespected me. You told me just now that you understand this is a big deal, and now you're acting like it was nothing!" Mariah shouted.

"It was stupid and wrong, but it isn't enough to break up over!"

"Maybe you should consider this from my point of view, because clearly you don't get it."

"I understand, damn it! I just don't understand why you're ending this over one mistake!" I shouted. "And your parents, they threw you out and years later came back and you forgave them."

Mariah's face was red, something I'd never seen before. Maybe I shouldn't have crossed that line.

"Don't you dare bring them into this," she seethed. Her chest was rising and falling quickly.

"Why? What's different? Tell me what's different!" I yelled angrily. I knew I was going overboard now, but I couldn't stop.

"They are my parents who raised me for sixteen years, and when they came back I didn't forgive them right away. You're just a boy that I met two months ago."

"You told your parents I was a man," I sneered. God, why am I doing this and why can't I stop? I said that because I was hurt from what she said, I know that's what.

You're just a boy that I met two months ago.

Wasn't I supposed to be honest with my feelings? Didn't we just discuss that? I'm really stupid.

Suddenly Mariah looked like she was holding in tears. "You, you - ugh!" she screamed. "I'm done!"

And then she turned quickly on her heel, reached for her purse, and stormed out of her own apartment.

And I stood there, frozen.

In a few seconds I regained my composure and shut my shocked mouth. I am such an idiot. I ran out the door, but she wasn't there anymore. I decided to go up to my own flat to calm down, but I passed Liam's and heard Mariah.

She was crying.

Not wanting to make the same mistake again, I didn't stand there and listen. Instead I knocked on Zayn's door which was right next to Liam's. He opened quickly, worry on his face.

"Mate, is that Mariah crying in Liam's?" he asked.

"Yeah," I choked out. I was so stupid.

"Come in," Zayn beckoned me with concern and then shut the door behind me. "Care to tell me what happened?"

"Can I have a glass of water?" I asked, rudely ignoring Zayn's question. He understood though and nodded before going to the kitchen. I sat down on the couch and leaned my head back against the wall.

I discovered that was a mistake, because I could hear Mariah's sad voice talking to a worried Liam through the wall.

I was about to pull my head away, not wanting to eavesdrop again, when I heard her say, "Yes, Liam, California. I already thought about it, and I'm positive I want to move there."

Mariah left Liam's when Callie arrived, I learned. It was only an hour later when Paul called me and asked if something happened between Mariah and I.

"How did you know?" I asked, dumbfounded.

"Just Google her name and you'll know," Paul sighed.

I ran around my apartment until I found my laptop. I typed in her name, and immediately 3 different new sites came up with similar story names:
