Chapter 2 | That Awkward Moment When You're Left With Four Boys

All of the members turned their attention from their conversation to us. Eve stood next to me with her jaw dropped. This chick. I shook my head.

“Hey. Are you Ariel the girl who might be our new web designer?” Prodigy asked. He gave me a quick Prodigy smile. The ones you can never really explain but just like know from seeing it enough. It's hard not to know it considering who I live with. My sister--I fought the urge to roll my eyes. That would be rude and they would think I was annoyed at them, not this girl who hasn't blinked in forever (*cough* Eve).

“Um hi... Yeah that’s me!” I played with my fingers, avoiding their eyes.

Roc glanced at me, then snuck as a look at Eve, and then back to me. He must of thought he was hiding it but no he wasn’t very good at that. “Nice to meet y’all. Who’s your friend over there ?”

“Oh that’s my twin sister Eve. She’s a huge fan and starstruck sorry.”

Ray Ray went up to her and poked her cheek. “She hasn’t blinked in a while though...”

“Don’t worry she’ll be ok. Your Ray Ray right?” I stupidly asked. I must be nervous. I wanted to touch his braids--they were right next to me, but I kept my hands down.

“Yep! In the flesh.”

“She’s gonna freak when she realizes you touched her.”

He laughed and sat back down.

“Hey Ariel! I’m Princeton. Welcome to the team! Well if you accept that is. Because if you didn’t then you wouldn’t be on the team so then there would be-–“

“Thanks Princeton.” I cut him off. Sorry but he was going on about nothing. Haha. It was cute. Whoa did I just think that?? Me? I don’t really think about guys that much. Not that I think about girls or anything, I just was always focoused on school and my site. Weird… Don't tell me going on tour with these fours boys will change who I really am.. Or maybe if they do change me it'll be for the best.

“No prob. I’ve seen your work. Is it hard to do that? Because it’s really dope.”

“Thank you and once you get use to it, it’s not as hard. But it’s still not a easy thing to do.”

“Maybe you can teach me sometime. We’re gonna get along just fine! You seem smart so you can help Roc with his homework, because you know he takes HOURS to finish a page. A cholo needs a break sometime, y'know?”

“Hey! No I don’t! See that’s why I un-friended you on Facebook.”

Ray Ray looked Prince up and down. “If I was Roc, I’d do the same thing.”

Prodigy laughed at his fellow bandmates.

“Well I wouldn’t…” Princeton said.

Eve finally snapped out of whatever daze she was in. That would be funny if a fly flew in her mouth. Don't get me wrong, I seriously do love my sister. I just saw that happen in a movie and I've never seen it really happen in person.

“Girl lemme tell you I had a dream that Ray’s fine self poked me.”

I smiled. “Well because that happened!”

“Oh my pillow pet ! It’s so awesome to meet you guys! Ariel, your so lucky ! Your gonna be on tour with four – lemme stop before I say something I don’t mean to.”

“Yes, please.” I chuckled lightly.

“Whatever.” She teasingly said.

“Well um nice to meet you Eve.” Roc got up and gave her a hug. She melted in his arms and swayed back and forth.


Eve:

TO MUCH FIOONNNEE !!


Ariel (Ari):

He had some pretty big muscles! Not as much as Prodigy, I noticed, but still. Roc smiled showing his gap. It didn't look weird on him, it looked like it fit him perfectly. I see what girls go crazy over now...

“I’m hugging Roc Royal...” She let go and went around hugging and taking pics with all of them. She isn’t even gonna play it cool. I shook my head. If you can't fight it, just go with the flow.

Keisha barged in on her iPhone, typing away. She seems to pop in randomly and leave when you don’t want her to.

“Ok break is over! Fans are waiting for you guys. And teenage girls are even scarier in groups by the hundreds.” She looked up from her phone.

“Ok." the boys said as they left. Princeton forgot his water, but the door shut before I could mention it to him.

“Now it’s time for business. Well if you accept you’ll be with us for all of the scream tour then there will be a break. You’ll have to attend everything MB attends: meetings, parties, meet & greets, etc. You’ll be home schooled with the rest of the boys of course and we have plenty of bunks on the tour bus so you can pick one. We’ll equip that bunk with all the gadgets you need–-free of charge. Any questions?”

I opened my mouth to speak but she continued.

“Oh and don’t worry you’ll be paid for your services. How’s a thousand a month?”

“Wow that’s awesome ! I’ll be glad to work for you guys.”

“Great so pack up tonight. We’ll pick you up at your house at 11am. Be ready on time.”

“Yes ma’am! Thank you.”

“Hand me your phone real quick. And remember, call me Keisha.” I gave it to her and she typed for about 3 minutes.

And then she was gone–probably to monitor the boys during their meet & greet. I checked my phone to see what she did. I had 6 new numbers in my contacts. Keisha, Walter, and … And every single member of MB.
