Chapter 9 | When MB Take Off Their Jackets, Everyone Screams

“Put your ones up if you gotta future !” Ray fed the crowds’ excitement.

Everyone in the crowd did as he said while screaming their heads off.

I imagined the familiar routine I’ve seen them do a couple times. First , I know MB were about to take their jackets off in 1. . .2. . .3.

The voices screamed louder. Oh , I’m good.

“Your now rockin’ with MB girl. You didn’t know ? Wish I could drive a whip and take you ‘round the city. Cruise around the strip , pick up somethin’ pretty for you.” Prodigy sang Future with passion.

I was chilling at a table near the guy who controlled the lights. During shows when I wasn’t taking pictures I usually did homework , but I was too distracted.

One week ago , Princeton confessed his feelings towards me. There is rarely a moment when I don’t think about how much a hurt Chyna and what I should do. I mean I know I haven’t known her long and she said she was fine with it , but I feel like I’m killing her dream of being with Princeton. Not to mention the fact that Prince is waiting for me to tell him how I feel towards him. I sighed and tapped my finger on my Algerbra I book.

“Ariel I like you.”

My eyes were a perfect example of a deer stuck in a headlight at the moment.

He put his index finger to my lip.

“Wait let me finish. I know we haven’t known each other long , but. . .” He looked into my eyes. “But do you believe in love at fist sight ?”

I shrugged, not catching on. “I never considered it.”

“Well it was kinda like that. When I saw you I was like ‘Whoa I’m looking at a freaking angel.’ And since then all I can think about is you.”

He stepped closer in so his breath tickled my face. “Do you like me too ?”

I panicked and swerved trying to catch my balance since I suddenly felt very light headed.

“Let me down lightly , I won’t go ape.” He chuckled a light charming chuckle.

“I have no idea what to tell you.” I kicked the pavement , avoiding his eyes.

“Hey.” He said , making me look up to meet those wonderful sparkling eyes.

Darn.

It was hope glimmering in his eyes. “Then don’t say anything. I know this is sudden and all so get back to me soon.” He pulled me into an embrace. He then swaggered back into the bus and I stood there thinking for a couple minutes.

I rested my head in my hands and shook it back and forth. God I’m such a horrible person.

“Lick me , lick me , lick me like a lollipop.” A familiar voice said close to my ear. 

I glanced up to see Nia eating a lollipop. “Well that’s somethin’ interesting to whisper in someones ear.”

She just continued licking. “Oh well. Whoa you don’t look so hawt. Who took your tacos ?”

I smiled halfheartedly. "Nothing, Chyna."
