Narrator:
Before the call to Chyna…
“Yo, Jake... I’m going to get some sprite. Want some?”
Princeton smiled at Deanna, “Sure.” She left his room to the kitchen with a sinister smile on her face. Reaching in her pocket, Deanna grabbed the Ziploc bag which contained two capsules of Zucherinxe. A dangerous drug that would make Princeton show symptoms of being drunk and his mind would be very gullible. He also wouldn’t remember what happened after the drug wore off two hours later. Checking to make sure the coast was clear; Dee began to crush up the capsules so they’d disappear quickly in the fluid. It took her no time for she was an expert with knives. Deanna then dumped it into the sprite, careful to not spill anything and went back to Princeton.
“Thanks Dee!”
“No problem,” she said with an innocent smile as she sat down, “Enjoy.”
Princeton practically gulped it down and sighed with refreshment. He went back to reading the John Lennon book his mother had gotten him.
Not much time passed before he became disoriented and had to close the book, frustrated. Only five minutes later, the drug was working at its max and Chyna called before Deanna could even tell Prince to do it.
Must be fate then, thought Deanna.
After the call to Chyna…
Ariel:
Roc keeps calling me. “What’s wrong?” “What did I do?” “At least text me back Ari?” I was starting to believe he actually didn’t know what he did… Well, serves him right. He can’t cheat on me with a fan and get away with it. But I do miss him terribly. Sighing, I plopped down face first on my bed.
After New Years I’m going to have to deal with him on the road! Ugh. What if I quit? Yeah, I’ll just call Keisha up and tell her.
I stared at my phone screen, but I couldn’t dial her number. I just couldn’t. I love my job. I’ll just call Chyna and get her advice.
She picked up after only a few rings but she was sniffling, “He- hello?”
“Chyna? What’s wrong?”
“Princeton cancelled our date and said he doesn’t like me anymore! Right out the blue!”
“Are we talking about the same person? Princeton? JACOB PEREZ?”
“Yes!”
This is ridiculous. Prince was head over heels for Chyna and I know he was looking forward to their date. “Did he say why?”
“No. He just said he doesn’t like me.”
“I’ll have to call you back Chy.”
“Okay,” she sniffled, “Bye Ariel.”
Let me analyze everything. Princeton just broke up with Chyna in a way even though they weren’t dating. Prodigy is M.I.A and no one can reach him. Roc cheated on me and I broke up with him. I don’t know where Ray and Nia stand… I’ll call her.
“Hi. You’ve reached Nia. Sorry I couldn’t answer, but please leave your info and I’ll try to get back to you. Unless this is Ray. Then you can go plank in traffic.”
Okay…. I guess that’s where they stand.
I dialed Ray next, “Ari! ‘Sup?”
“Hey.. What’s up with you and Nia?”
“Oh we’re okay. She just didn’t change her voice mail.”
“Oooh okay. I just feel like my world is crashing down, but slowly.”
“Weird.. Roc said the same.”
I sighed in response.
“Can you at least tell him what he did Ari?”
“Not you too! I gotta go..”
“Wai-“
Oop. Oh well. I just hung up.

Narrator:
Everyone had gone caroling or that is what foolish De thought.
“Did it work Dee?” Deandré said into his cell, not realizing that Ariel was eavesdropping. He put it on speaker and sat on the couch, still not noticing Ariel’s presence.
“Yup. He and little miss sunshine are over.”
Ariel gasped from her position around the corner, pressed against the wall. She finally realized what Roc was trying to tell her the whole time. Deandré is a bad guy; she shouldn’t trust him, but it’s too late. Deandré’s head snapped in Ariel’s direction and she was caught.
“I have to go Deanna,” and he hung up. He rose from the couch and walked towards Ariel slowly. It was like a predator about to catch its prey, and the prey was trapped.
