Blinding trust

A few days later and I had picked up the hire car, I figured mine would be too small so I got a 4x4 with moveable back seats to get more room in the trunk for Gracie. I was packed and on my way to pick Zak and Gracie up.  Swinging into his drive I hopped out and knocked on the door, Cece opened it with a smile.

"Someone looks a lot more brighter today." She whispered to me.

I smiled and followed her to where Zak was fussing over his hair.

"There?" He faffed about with it a few more seconds. "Stay.." He pointed to his hair before turning around to me.

"Hey you're here." He smiled coming over and giving me a hug.

"Sure am. We ready to hit the road?"

"Yeah.. Cece you got everything covered here?" He asked.

She nodded happily "Go, go and have fun."

"Okay great. Gracie let's hit the road!" Zak called.

She came bombing through the house and leaped at me making me laugh.

"Gracie no!" Zak scolded her.

"Don't you scold her, she's just excited and she's excited to see your happiness again." I smiled scratching her chest and behind her ears.

Left ear is her favourite!

"Well she knows manners." Zak answered.

"Oh on with you. Bags in the back seat, Gracie has the whole trunk to herself. She's gonna love it."

Zak grinned and took his bag as I followed behind him with Gracie.

"Woah, 4x4? So we are going some here a bit off grid?" He guessed.

"I'm not saying. I also have this.." I pulled out a black blindfold and swung it on my index finger.

"Oh she's into 50 shades of grey and now she's using blindfolds."

"It's for you."

"I, I. Trying to seduce me Brit?" He winked as my face went from normal to increasingly warm.

"No.."

"Oh she's blushing!"

"Zak stop teasing." Cece laughed.

"I don't need a blindfold though." Zak answered.

"You're gonna learn to trust me and everything I do. This is going to be with us the whole time, so you better get use to the idea." I answered as Cece giggled beside me.

"Cece help me out here?" He asked holding his hand up.

"I think it will be good for you. Brittany won't let you get into harms way. So suck it up and wear it." She smiled.

"I used to like you.." He mumbled.

"So what is it?" I asked.

"Fine." He huffed.

I grinned and ran over giving him a hug. "ATTA BOY!"

"Just don't get me killed." He replied.

"I won't."

We put Gracie in the back and set off on our little adventure.

"We're going to California." He spoke.

"Are we?" I asked.

"We're not."

"We might be."
