I fixed my glasses on my nose and put on my headset. We were filming Aftershocks, a spin of of Ghost Adventures where Zak goes back and speaks to past clients.
The day was going to be the usual self, it was going to be busy and I had to keep up to flow with everything which meant I very rarely got time to glance at Zak as he was constantly being prepped or advised. We had only just came in but he was whisked away by producers and I was left to get myself in with the production team as they got the set ready.
"Brittany." A voice spoke making me turn.
I was met with one of the producers, Mark and an unknown person.
"Hey." I smiled.
"This here is Callum, he needs to be shown the ropes and you're the perfect person to do it. You have a close bond with the guys and the production team so it's down to you." Mark smiled and walked away.
Callum was my height which was 5,10. He was athletically build with brown hair with emerald green eyes.
"Hi..." He smiled.
"Hey, I'm Brittany, guess you know that already." I laughed nervously.
Why was I nervous around him?!
He laughed back just as nervous which put me at ease slightly.
"Okay, I'm their assistant which means I do a hell of a lot. From relaying messages to getting them things they need from their RV out the front. I'm sorry if I do switch off and don't communicate but do try to keep asking if you are unsure there is no right or wrong thing to do unless.. Unless you walk on set with your finger up your nose whilst we are recording." I laughed making him smile.
"I got it. What's first then sweetie?" He asked.
I looked at him almost frowning when I saw him looking at the equipment. I shrugged it off settling it do be his personality as I have often me people who call me babe constantly or my love. Sweetie was just another to add to the list.
"Right okay first off both Aaron & Zak will need to be mic'd up. Zak is utmost important as its his role to talk so his mic needs to be working at full capacity, Aaron doesn't speak often and is stood by a camera shooting so if his mic for some reason does switch off? We will have him covered." I answered.
"Okay." He picked up two mics and checked their batteries before we headed off to find them both.
Zak wasn't hard, you find the crowd of people and the strong voice and he's in the middle of it.
After the crowd had disappeared I stepped in.
"Hey, this is Callum, Callum this is Zak." I quickly introduced them and took a mic.
Zak looked at Callum almost glaring at him to begin with. I couldn't work out what their beef was but when I looked over my shoulder, Callum was staring at Zak with the same look.
Alpha male bullshit.
"Hey." Zak whispered in my ear as I wrapped my arms around him clipping his mic on the back of his jeans.
"Hi."
Me and Zak had argued this morning over arrangements travelling here. He didn't want anyone known we were together or living together. It made me feel that he was embarrassed of me and of course that grated me raw and I was fuming. I ended up driving myself at a very high speed angrily.
"Can we talk?" He whispered.
"I'm busy." I answered pulling out his top and putting my hand up it clipping on his mic to hide the wire.
