Hayes POV
"Haley can I ask one question?" She nods. "Are you positive Kayla doesn't have a boyfriend?"
"I'm positive. Unless she has one and only told Matt. But I doubt that she tells me anything!" I smile. "Ok. Do you think she would say yes?"
"I don't know. You have to find that out." We giggle together. I'm going to be the brave boy I am and I ask her out.
Kayla POV
"Matt does Hayes have a girlfriend or anyone special?" Matt looks up from his food. "Yes he does." My face begins to frown. I feel warm tears in my eyes. I run from Daniels room to the living room where Haley is. "Haley I need to-" I say Hayes standing there and I stop. He smiles and I cry even more. "Haley can we talk in another room?" She nods and stands up. I can see the worry in her eyes. When we get to the other room I begin. "I really like Hayes, but Matt says he has a girlfriend!" She looks mad. "Really?!?" I nod. "Stay away from him!" I nod and cry 10 times harder. She wraps me in a hug and I cry and cry. I hear footsteps coming from the living room. I know they're Hayes' but ignore and continue to cry. Haley looks up as Hayes walks through the door. "You are in SERIOUS trouble!" He looks confused. "You are asking to date my best friend and you have a girlfriend?!?"
"No I don't. Who told y'all that?" I look up and say, "Matt."
"Matt also told me you had a boyfriend and I asked Haley to make sure you were still single before I asked you."
"Hayes I haven't had a boyfriend since 7th grade."
"I haven't a girlfriend in a year." I smile and walk over to Hayes. He gladly excepts my hug. We stand there for at least 2 minutes. I finally pull away. "Kayla, will you be my girlfriend?" I nod and go for what I think is a hug, but he surprises me with a kiss!
