Chapter Six

Jade's POV

What was that? What is she doing to me? And why can't I shake this feeling?

I'm completely bewildered and confused on what is happening to me. We already left Althea's office but all I can think of is our encounter earlier and her. Everything about only her!

Her beautiful face that framed with her cute above-the-shoulder length hair with full bangs. Her perfectly trimmed eyebrows, her cute pointed nose that I wanted to pinch right away, her lips.. Her kissable lips that was slightly agape earlier and I'm really dying to close it with my own.

And lastly, her eyes. The moment I catch her staring at me, I'm lost but there's something I felt inside me. I'm not sure but it feels so good. I suddenly felt drawn to her that I can't even look away from her gaze.

There's something about her that I can't shake within me. Her intimate stares that sent goosebumps all over my body. She's so deep and mysterious that make her even more interesting. She's like a puzzle that I'm very much willing to solve.

And how can I forget her voice? The way she talks, laugh and the way she says my name. I suddenly felt loved and cared for as soon as my name came out from her mouth. Really? How can she do that?

The best part was when her hand clasped mine. It was only a mere handshake but why did I feel like I'm safe with her touch? That I instantly felt like I was a precious gem stone the way she held me.

Ang dami-dami kong naramdaman sa maikling encounter lang namin. Fireworks, butterflies, millions of volts, goosebumps, everything! And I all felt it because of her. And no one never made me feel all that, not even with David. Her, Althea, only with her.

But why? Why do I feel this way towards her? Naramdaman din ba niya 'to? Naguguluhan din ba siya? Oh God! This is crazy! She's driving me crazy!

Then it hit me.

"Saka ka na lumaban pag na-meet mo na ang soulmate mo!"

"Uy totoo kaya yung soulmates no! Kapag nakilala mo yung sa'yo, wag kang lalapit sakin na kinikilig-kilig.

"Masama magsalita ng tapos, Jade. Antay ka lang."

What the fuck?! So ibig sabihin siya yung soulmate ko? Siya na ba yun? That is impossible! That can't be! She's a woman, for pete's sake! And we both are! Should I tell Sally about this? What if she-

"Hey! Hey Jade!"

"W-What?" I heard David's calling me. He's also shaking my shoulder as if trying to wake me up.

Did I just space out on them? Shit, nakakahiya! This is all Althea's fault!

"Kanina ka pa namin kinakausap ni Pearl pero parang wala ka namang naririnig. Are you okay? May masakit ba sa'yo?"

No David! I'm totally not okay. Althea's whole being is getting on my nerves! What did she do to me?!

"Y-Yes, David. I mean, wala namang masakit sakin. I'm a bit sleepy but I'm fine." I answered him trying not to sound worried and gave him a small smile.

"Are you sure, Jade? We can go home if you want." I heard Pearl asked me with worried look on her face.

After kasi ng appointment niya kay Althea, nagkayayaan kaming magpunta sa mall. Well, syempre to eat lunch at para na rin makapagkwentuhan kaming tatlo about our upcoming engagement and wedding.

Pearl doesn't have an idea that David and I are just trying to make things work for the both of us but mostly for me. Mabait naman si Pearl at sumusuporta din siya sakin. She's like my older sister pero we decided na wag ng sabihin sa kanya dahil ayaw naman namin na madamay siya sa gulo if things didn't go as planned.
