Chapter Twenty-Three

Jade's POV

Three days had gone past but I still can't help but to smile whenever I remember that sweet morning Althea and I shared. That day was rather uneventful but she has her way of making my day beyond special. Hindi naman kami totoong kinasal pero yung pakiramdam ko parang totoo kaming humarap na sa altar - that she is finally my wife.

Dental floss nga lang yung singsing 'ko but for me, katumbas na din ito ng diamond ring. Sounds exaggerated but Althea's promises and declaration of love while tying it on my finger are the reasons why for me, it's that precious.

After that glorious morning, we spent our days together. We decided to ditch work until yesterday to make up our time we spent apart whenever I'm with David.

We spend our whole days just goofing around, watching movies, baking cookies, playing Tekken which Althea never won not even once against me. Making out in couch, carpet, kitchen counter, on the stairs - yep, imagine that - but it never really ended up in bed since Althea wants it to take it slow.

As much as I wanted to give myself to her, I admire her respect over me kahit na obvious naman na gusto ko ng bumigay. She never took advantage of me kaya lalo ko siyang minamahal.

I suddenly miss her ngayon na naalala ko na naman ang pinagagagawa namin. Excited na tuloy akong makita siya mamaya sa dinner namin.

Althea planned it all out at ayaw niyang sabihin sakin dahil surprise daw. Wala namang occasion pero may pa-surprise dinner pa siya.

That woman.

I still don't know what I've done good in my life to have someone like her. She's indeed my miracle.

"Baka mapunit naman mukha mo niyan, Jade, kakangiti mo." I looked at her, still with a smile on my face. I mentally face palmed myself because I totally forgot that I'm with Sally.

"Huh? Anong sabi mo?" I asked while chewing on my lower lip. She just shook her head, amusement reflecting on her face.

"First time lang kita makitang nagkaganyan. Not even with David, eh alam kong crush na crush mo yun dati. You must be really in love with Althea." Upon hearing my girl's name makes my heart flutter, kaya naman mas lalong lumaki ang pagkakangiti ko.

"To be honest, Sally, what we have is really something. I don't know kung dahil lang ba first time kong magka-girlfriend na never naman nating inisip na mangyayari pero, siya lang nagpaparamdam sa akin ng ganito. Everyday she always give me another reason to love her even more." I sounded all dreamy while imagining Althea's face and all of our moments together. "You know how I don't believe in soulmates but when Althea came, para bang sinampal niya sa akin yung katotohanan." We both chuckled and I shook my head realizing how gay I am for Althea. "I really love her, Sally. I don't know how or why, but I just did. The first time I met her, I know she's different. But I don't have any idea that I will love her this damn much."

Sally held my hand that's resting on the table and smiled at me. "I know, Jade. I've never see you so happy not until Althea came. And I can see Althea loves you just as much from the way she looks at you. Sana nga makahanap na din ako ng sarili kong Althea." She added as she dramatically flips her hair. I chuckled at her demeanor.

"I doubt it, Sal. My baby's one of a kind."

"Eh di aagawin ko na lang siya sa'yo." Sally playfully threatened and I can't help but to swat her hand that's holding me.
