Jade's POV
I just couldn't hide my excitement because finally we're going home! My stay here in Cebu was absolutely grueling. All we did was pure business and we didn't even got the chance to relax even just for a day. And besides, three days away from Althea is torture. I miss her so much and I can't wait to see her.
We rarely communicate during my stay here in Cebu. We get to talk over the phone for only once since I got here. Yung palitan namin ng messages, thrice lang ata a day kasi alam kong busy siya dahil ang dami niyang client for this upcoming wedding month. And I admit, I've been busy too,
Earlier, she called me and said that there's something she needed to tell me. I suddenly got anxious what's that about but I prefer not to make a big deal out of it. I need to make up to her since I've been with David during my stay here. I know it's just business but my baby's upset about it. Gusto kong makabawi sa kanya.
I was packing my things up when someone knocked on my suite's door.
"Come in." I shouted and my father walks in.
"Sa atin ka muna didiretso, Jade. May kailangan akong sabihin sa'yo." He said plainly as he take a hit on his tobacco. I rolled my eyes ceiling-ward, completely ignoring his seriousness.
"Hindi ba pwedeng sabihin niyo na sa akin ngayon para hindi na ko sumama sa inyo sa mansion?" I answered cooly while zipping my luggage.
"Don't start with me, Jade. And besides, hindi ito tungkol sa business. This is about you." He said that made me dart my eyes on him. Now it made me interested on what he's going to say.
"About me? Can you just please cut the agony, Dada. Ano bang kaibahan nun kung dito mo sasabihin?" I said, sounding bored. I know he'll get mad at what I did but he surprisingly didn't. Instead, he gave me his devilish smile that I somehow wish he could've just did the former.
"You'll see, Jade. At after ng pag-uusap natin mamaya, sinisiguro kong papayag ka na sa kagustuhan ko." With that, he walked out of my room, leaving me puzzled. My anxiousness got doubled because of what my father just said.
Our flight back to Manila was definitely one of the most longest hours of my life. I don't have any idea what my father is up to and I can't wait to hear it to stop this honestly nerve wracking situation.
Did he found out about Althea and I? But how? And why he didn't confront me about this?
These questions are running around my head all through out our flight. David noticed my uneasiness but I refuse to tell him what happened. As much as possible, I don't want to looked at it on a negative side. I'm hoping that it was just about their plan to push our engagement or anything, just not my relationship with Althea.
"Jade, follow me inside my office." Dada ordered the moment we arrived in our mansion.
"Yes, Dada." I answered trailing behind him.
He sat on the swivel chair behind his wooden desk and handed me the brown envelope resting on his desk.
"What's this, Dada?" I asked, my hands starting to tremble as I reached for the envelope.
"Tignan mo." He plainly said with a stern look on his face. I slowly remove the rubber band and opened the envelope. I took a peak what's inside and I saw pictures in there. I took it out one by one and my heart literally froze at the moment. I suddenly caught my breathing then I looked at my father.
"H-How did-" I wasn't able to finish my question because I somehow having trouble with breathing. I can feel my heart thumping hard against my chest along with my nerves on my temple.
