|Flashback|
Violetta sat by the curb as she waits for her father. It was after theater and everyone else had left. She still had to sit there and wait because her father was running late from work.
So she sat, reading a book that she had pulled out from her backpack. She had only been reading for a few minutes when a voice spoke from behind her.
"Hello again." Violetta looks up from her book to find Leon moving to sit next to her.
"Oh uh hello." She gives him a smile then goes back to reading. Leon glances into the parking lot, wondering if his mother had arrived. He doesn't see their car, so he turns back to Violetta.
"So how have you liked theater so far?" Violetta doesn't even glance up as she answers.
"It's alright."
"Just alright." Leon watches as Violetta marks her page and closes the book.
"It's fun. I've made a few friends."
"Like Francesca and Camila?"
"Yeah."
"Well it's great you're making friends." Leon looks out into the lot again, but still no car. He watches a few cars pass by, wondering what to say next.
"How long have you been in theater?"
"I joined last year because I had a lot of times on my hand. What about you why'd you join." She didn't say anything for a long while Leon wondered if maybe he said the wrong thing, but then Violetta is speaking.
"I don't really know. I just figured it would be a cool experience, I guess." She shrugs, her answer only being half true. She might also like the fact that theater is a great way to explore another world. All her life, she thought she would grow up and become some fancy business women or lawyer. But after her experiences in theater, she wants to see where it can take her. The opportunities that can come from being an actor in the drama world.
"I see." Headlights flash and Leon can see that it is his mother's car. "That's me." He stands, leaving Violetta to sit on the curb alone once again. "It was really nice seeing you again." Violetta nods and gets back to reading. Just before he leaves, "Hope to see you again." He leaves Violetta with a slight blush and a mixture of feelings.
\Leon\
"I don't understand what she sees in that guy." Leon exhales. He's with Andres, working out the stress from the day before. Andres is holding his feet as he does sit ups. "He's not that good looking and he's to calm. You know he didn't even get mad when he saw me." Leon is having a hard time believing that the guy would be so easy going about seeing his girl with an ex.
"Did you ever think that maybe he doesn't know you're Violetta's ex." Leon does one last sit up before he's stays up right, a look of disbelief on his face.
"You really think Vilu never mentioned who I am, other than the oh so wonderful Leon Vargas. How could she not say anything about me?" He's getting angrier by the second. He stands abruptly, sending Andres to the ground as he starts running. Andres hurries to catch up.
"Leon, slow down!" Leon stops altogether to catch his breath and then starts jogging with Andres by his side. "Leon I know it's hard to hear, but maybe she never mentioned you because she didn't think you were important." Leon fumes, stopping again to give Andres a glare.
"Not important! How could you say that? We were together for two years and they were the best two years of my life. We had plans. We wanted to be together forever and it could have happened, but..." He trails off, not wanting to remember the details. That night still haunt him today.
"I'm sorry, maybe it's not that. Maybe it's because it hurts her too, to mention your name. I bet it's hard after what happened for her to still be working with you."
"I realize that, but it hurts me too. I hate knowing that I can see her almost every day, yet I can't do anything about it. If I could fix what happened then, I'd do it in a heartbeat." Andres gives him a pat on the back to try and comfort him. Leon lets him, taking a few second to will the anger away. He sighs, resigned, and then takes a deep breath. "Come on let's keep running." He takes off, hoping to God that he forgets about that night.
/Violetta/
After last night, Violetta has let the emotions get to her. She sent Tomas on his way as soon as she arrived home and has been holed up in her room. She hardly got sleep, too many nightmares of that dreadful night on her mind. She twisted and turned until she hit the sack at some point, almost nearing four in the morning. She woke up only hours later, more exhausted than the night before.
Is it too much to ask that she just live her life? Leon coming back is just making everything bad again. She thought she was done, but it seems she still has to get through some stuff before she can be fully happy again.
"Vilu?" She glances behind her to see Camila and Francesca in her doorway.
"Hey." Her voice is weak and her friends are immediately at her side.
"What happened?" Camila asks, rubbing her arms gently. Fran is at her other side, pushing her hair away from her face.
"I ran into Leon last night."
"I thought you were getting used to it." Violetta shakes her head, burrowing further into the blanket.
"I was on a date with Tomas. It was so awkward for me. I felt so bad about it because he has no idea what Leon used to be for me."
"You still haven't told him?" Camila asks bewildered. It makes Violetta flinch and hide her self away further. Francesca scolds Cami before focusing on Violetta.
"We don't mean to sound mean, but seriously Vilu, you have to tell him." Violetta is already shaking her head furiously, not wanting to talk about it, but Fran keeps repeating she tell him.
"I can't, you know I can't. It's so hard to talk about. I haven't thought about it in months, but it's rushing back and I can't handle everything it entitles. It's too much I just want sleep." She sighs tiredly. Fran let's her rest her eyes until she's drifting off into a light sleep.
"I hate seeing her like this." Camila whispers.
"Me too." Francesca just hopes that Violetta gets the rest she deserves.
