Chapter 21

Ciara has managed to get a midwife to come over every other day to check on how the baby's doing, because of the technology they have she said she could tell me the gender but I said no, I want Dan to be there when I find out and he's still unresponsive, it's been 2 weeks.
The pregnancy has been hard on me, having only Ciara I keep meaning to call my brother, Uriah (I haven't mentioned him before have I) but I keep getting distracted and I don't want to disturb him, however I feel like he needs to know.

"Are you gonna call Uriah?" Ciara shouts from the kitchen, "having your brother around will do you good!"

"Uh, I guess so..." I sigh "but what will he say?"

"I dunno call him and find out!"

I unlock my phone and dial my brothers number,

"Hello?" I hear a rough familiar voice say down the phone,

"Uriah! It's Hazel!"

"Hazel?! Your alive? Your ok?"

"Yeah. I'm guessing you heard about mum?" I sigh holding back the tears,

"Yeah... Where are you? I'd love to come see you!"

"I'm at the house, where me and mum lived, also I have some good/bad news however you wanna take it,"

"Yeah? What is it? It can't be too bad can it?"

"Well number 1 I have a boyfriend-" he cuts me off.

"I hope he's nice! I wanna meet him ASAP!"

"Slight problem on that front, I'll explain when you get here, but first number 2 uh you have a niece on the way in around 3-4 months." I hear a gasp on the other end,

"You mean?"

"Yeah I'm pregnant."

"I'll be over ASAP, see you in 5." He hangs up, he must be really exited!

I put the phone down and smile, wasn't so bad after all!

"How did it go?" Asks Ciara as she sits down next to me,

"Yeah, as soon as I told him about this," I say pointing to my bump, "he got all exited and said he'd be over in 5 haha"

"That's great! Finally get to meet your brother!"

There's a knock at the door, I don't know why Uriah knocked he knows the code,

"I'll get it!" Ciara chirps.

"Oh no you don't, remember what you look like!" I hobble over to the door, I feel sorry for Ciara, she forgets some times.
I look through the window and see my tall brother with his bright blonde hair and emerald green eyes, just like my mother... I wipe my eyes and open the door, I am greeted with a hug.

"Hey hey mind!" I grin glad to see my brother again.

"Jeez, your big!!" He laughs then stops when he sees Ciara "what is that doing here?!"

I can see the panic in his eyes , " don't worry! It's Ciara you know shes my best friend, the infection didn't work on her so she's just got the looks."

He breathes deeply "so where's this boyfriend?"

"We'll about that, I thought you could help since your a doctor, he has the infection and has been unresponsive for days,"

"I'll do my best!" He grins happy to help "but on one condition, I need some food I'm starving!"

We all laugh and Ciara runs into the kitchen to make some lunch.

Me and Uriah catch up and the little one kicks my stomach it likes the sound of my brothers voice, today's gonna be a good day.
