~ 3 and 1/2 months later~
"BEEP! BEEP! BEEP!" My alarm clock breaks my sleep, I hit snooze and roll over,
"5 more minutes..." I mumble into my pillow, I hear two quite knocks on my my bedroom door,
"Hazel?" Uriah turns on my light and comes and sits on my bed "You need to get up now, it's hospital day."
I open my eyes and wince at the bright light blaring into my eyes, "What about Dan?" I sit up and rub my back, still squinting.
"He'll be fine with Ciara if he wakes up she'll call me ok?"
"Mmhm." I sigh and trudge off to go and talk to Dan, he's still in a coma but I talk to him everyday.
~Dan's POV~
I can't move or open my eyes, being in a coma sucks, better than being a zombie though huh...
I hear my door opening slowly, I'm guessing Hazel has come to talk again.
"Hey Dan, me again" I hear the sorrow in her voice, I'm assuming bad news? "Today's hospital day, do you remember? When I come back, well, you know what comes next. Ciara's gonna look after you, she probably won't leave your side. I hope-" she pauses and grabs my hand. "I hope you get better whilst I'm away."
I try and squeeze her hand and I think it works because she gasps and squeezes back.
~Hazels POV~
I am filled with courage as we get in my brothers van and drive to the hospital, Uriah says they'll have pain relief and it's safer, and Dan's getting better, him squeezing my hand shows he's at least conscious although immobile.
The van bumps down the muddy track and I can see the familiar hospital in the distance with a white make-shift tent connected to the side of it, nausea hits me when I think if the casualties.
Uriah parks in a free space and we both get out of the car, he squeezes my hand and I squeeze his back."Everything will be ok." He says softly.
"Everything will be ok." I whisper under my breath.
