Chapter 15
Mareslya P.O.V
When I woke up its was 4 p.m. I guess Shaquan most have came in the room after I fell asleep. Because he's curled up in my side sleep. But I really need to talk to someone about being pregnant. The only person I could think of was my dad.
I slipped out of bed and sneaked out of the bedroom. Its times like these that I'm glad Shaquan is a heavy sleepier. I went to the second floor where my parents bedroom is. I knocked on the door and my mom answered.
"Hey sweetie what do you need?" My mom asked me.
"Do you know where dad is I need to talk to him." I say.
"Yeah he's in the bathroom just give him a few minutes."
I sat on the bed and waited for my dad to come out. He came out shortly after. But I didn't notice because I was deep and thought. And didn't come back to reality until my dad started speaking.
"Hey baby girl what do you need?" He asked me.
"I wanted to talk to you. I need some advice."
"Okay then lets go." My dad grabbed his keys and wallet and we were on our way to dairy.
Me and my dad always to go to dairy queen. He always use to take me there to cheer me up when I was sad or needed advice on something. Dairy queen was our private little spot away from the pack house where I could tell him everything. What can I say i'm daddy's little girl and Derrit is a mommas boy.
When we got to Dairy Queen I ordered vanilla ice cream with a whole bunch of carmel on it and my dad ordered cookies and cream. He paid then we took a seat at a booth.
"So baby girl what did you want to talk about?" My dad asked while sticking a spoonful of ice cream in his mouth.
"Me being pregnant." He nodded his head for me to continue. "I'm happy that i'm pregnant but at the same time i'm kind of not. I'm scared that i'm going to mess up."
"Mess up what?"
"Everything. I'm scared i'm going to mess up being Luna. I'm scared that once I have this baby i'm not going to have time fir the baby. With me still trying to get the hang of being Luna and Shaquan Alpha. And I don't want a nanny raising my kid I want to do it. But i'm suppose to be a mother to my pack but I want to be a mother to my child first. Shaquan happy about the baby but I don't think he really knows what he's getting him self into."
"First of all your not going to mess up anything. And if fate thought you couldn't handle this they wouldn't have made you Shaquan other half. And nobody knows what there getting there self into when its comes to a baby. And if you don't want a nanny then me and your mom will babysit for you every once in a while. You are the perfect Luna. Don't worry about it all right now. Just slow down and take it day by day. You just found out you were pregnant today."
We finished our ice cream and went back to the pack house. I'm glad I got to talk to my dad. I don't know what I do without him. But I do know I need to talk to Shaquan. Because we have 6 months to prepare for this baby and we need to tell the pack before then. And I know Shaquan mad at me because I left without telling him and I been blocking him through the mind-link.
I walked into the house and asked Derrit where Shaquan was. Derrit said he was in his office. No surprise there. Instead of knocking like everyone else I just walk in. When Shaquan see's me a wave of relief goes through him. Then another emotion goes through him.
"Where have you been?" Shaquan asked in one of those scary calm ways. I shut the door and sit down in one of the chairs that are on the opposite side of him.
"I left with my dad." I say calmly but not giving him any detail.
"Please don't leave without telling me."
"I'm a big girl. I can leave when I want without telling you. And I can take care of myself." He's really starting to make me mad. Who does he think he is. I know for a fact he's not my dad because I was just with him.
"I know you are. But your not just taking care of you your also taking care of our pup."
"Whatever." I mumbled. "I need to talk to you."
"About what?"
"When we should tell the pack. I think we should tell them when we find out if were having a boy or a girl."
"Why do we have to wait so long?"
"So we don't have to hold two different pack meetings at different times. Then we can tell them all at once."
"Fine we can wait tell we found out if its a boy or a girl. Was there anything else we need to talk about?"
"Yeah one more thing actually. When it comes to the baby I don't want a nanny."
"And why not? Theres going to be times we need someone to watch the baby."
"Thats why we have a family and friends but no nanny. "
"Why not?" He growled a little.
"First of all don't growl at me. And because we made the baby we raise it. I'm not going to argue with you. Were not having a nanny."
After I said that I left his office without saying another word or giving him a glance. I just walked out. He is really starting to make me mad.
