Calypso's POV

It seemed like they walked for hours.
The walk from the field to the town had seemed like a short stroll from a distance but it was actually a long walk.
She sighed. She wasn't used to walking long distances. Living on a tiny island didn't give her much reason to.

After an eternity of walking and aching feet, they finally reached to town.

"Let's ask who-evers in there." Leo said, pointing to a cafe.
"Sure." She agreed. The cafe was as good as anywhere else.
Leo dug a piece of paper out from his pocket. She didn't know what it was until he placed it on the counter and asked the man behind it for two tuna sandwiches. It occurred to her it might be some kind of modern money.

They sat at a table by the window, and looked out at the field. She could just about see Festus in the distance.

After about five minutes a woman came over with the sandwiches. She'd never had one before but they smelled lovely.

"Excuse me," Leo asked the woman "Do you know what town this is?"

"This is a side town in Devon, England," she replied "Lovely town, but difficult to get to."
She walked away.

"Huh," Leo said "Devon. Pretty quiet."
"Yeah." She agreed.
They ate their sandwiches in silence. She hadn't realised how hungry she was.

"So," Leo said after they had both finished " It'll probably take most of tomorrow to fix Festus. That means we'll head out the day after tomorrow. We should probably find some place to stay."

"How are we meant to do that?" She asked "The waitress said it's a small town. Do you think there's going to be a gigantic tavern to stay in?"

"No," he said "But there's always the hotel across the road."

She looked out the window. There was in fact a big building with a sign saying 'Hotel'.

"Oh," she said " I didn't see that."
She was probably bright red.

"Naww it's okay," he said smirking " You were just distracted by my handsomeness."

She punched him in the arm.
"As if." She said. But she was smiling.

"So let's go," she said, eager to change the subject. "We don't want to be stuck out in the rain."

They both got up and left the cafe. She would of walked right in front of a metal box thing but Leo grabbed her arm. He informed her that they metal things were cars and getting hit by one wouldn't be good for her health.

Once across the road , having avoided being hit, they knocked on the door of the hotel. They entered and Leo went went up to someone behind the desk.

"So, do you have a spare room?" He asked "Like, a room with two beds?"

The woman stared at him.
"Yes we do," she said "But do you have the money for it?"

"Well uh," Leo said " How much would it be?"

"£40 sonny"

He pulled out another piece of paper, one of the ones they found in the field.

"This enough?"

" That's plenty." She said. She seemed a lot friendlier now.
" It's room 13 just upstairs. Here's your key."
She handed him £10 in change.

"Let's go." He said to her.

The two of them jogged upstairs. Once inside the room, Leo claimed the bed next to the window with a view of Festus. He yawned widely.

"Get some sleep." She told him.
He hardly protested. He took his shoes off and crawled into the bed.

She did the same after getting a drink of water.

She went to sleep, and for the first time since being trapped on Ogygia, she dreamt.
