Raven POV

Falling off a dragon half a mile into the air was not fun.

As soon as we got Willow and Kelsey's message, everyone geared up and headed out. Well a few stayed to guard the base but not many.

Me, Jake and Mia rode Nima the dragon. Technically Mia should have seen with everyone else on the ground, but with Jake - head healer - being her twin she had certain privalages.

Nima was the only dragon, mostly because they were so hard to keep. They needed lots of space to exercise and lots of food. She warmed to me especially since dragons like magic and I'm head mage.

Ha ha, funny, the head mage's name is Raven Putter. Laugh all you want, I'm used to it.

Anyway, along the way we hit a vicious storm. As I fought to keep Nima in the air, something flew through the air and made me fall off.

Two words : Not-fun.

I flailed in the air for a moment before regaining control of my limbs and spreading into eagle formation. I still fell through the air far too fast.

At last moment I felt claws dig into my shoulders and the gush of air from Nima's wings. I let out breath I hadn't realised if been holding

Jake held his hand out to me and pulled me back onto Nima's back. I manage to shift around into a comftorble position.
"Thanks." I say.
"It's okay. Gotta get each others backs right?" Jake says.
I smile and nod. He hadn't been a Lieutenant long, but he had slid into the role perfectly. I had had a hard time warming to him at first, having been more than friends with the previous head healer before they died, but I couldn't not like him.

I brought out the map from my pocket. I used my tag to judge which way to go.
"We need to head further south. We've gone to far north." I inform Jake.
"Right" He flicks his flashlight to the others below telling them that.

I turn Nima accordingly. She's a beautiful dragon, pure black skin, grey spines and amber eyes. Beautiful

A few hours later, we arrived in the area. The journey from Oregon to Kentucky would have taken most people days, but we MoonRunners are very efficient travellers. A normal person's day journey only takes us an hour or two.

I land Nima on a reasonably flat piece of land. Dismounting, I look around for Willow and Kelsey. I don't see them just yet.

That is, until they come running round a hill.

"Guys!" Willow cries " You're here!" She hugs me, Jake and Mia. Kelsey is dying with laughter behind her.

"My ribs!" I squeak "So, why did you call us?"
"Well," she begins "We met some people-"
"Like three hundred people!" Kelsey puts in.
"Yes. And some of their friends are missing too and they think Bella is in the same place. They found a cave where the think they are. And before you ask why we called all of you, you need to see the amount of monsters around it. I've never seem so many in my life!"

"Okay okay, are we gonna meet these people then?" Jake asks.
"Yup!" Kelsey says and grabs his arm.
We all go round the side of the hill they came from.

Okay, so Kelsey said there were three hundred people, but I was not expecting this.

There was a large crater and it was completely filled with teens and near teens. There were kids with swords, bows, hammers and even staffs. Some even had goat legs.

"So, these are our friends." Willow says to a blonde.
"Hi," the blonde says "I'm Annabeth."
She holds out her hand to me.
"I'm Raven." I say and shake it.
"And I'm Jake. This is Mia. We're twins even if we don't really look it."
Annabeth smiles. "Like the opposite of the Stolls. They're not twins but they look it."
