I pushed the giant air bag out of my face, trying to look around and see what was happening. The front windshield was now gone and the car was no longer usable. Shards of glass lay all over the car, the reason for many small gashes all along my face and arms. I realized Michael wasn't moving.

"MICHAEL?" I asked in full panic mode.

I pushed his air bag out of the way so I could see his face. I saw he was breathing but unconscious, a large piece of glass was sticking out of his cheek.

"Michael," I said again even though he couldn't hear me. I grabbed the suitcase and Michael's glasses which were sitting on the floor of the car. I stepped out weakly but as fast as I could and went over to his side. I opened the door and picked him up, one arm carrying his lower back and one arm below his knees. I heard a car drive up in front of the road I had just crashed off of and ran.

I started moving as fast as I could, limping a little as I went. I ran into the dark forest.

"LISTEN YOU TWO!" I heard the people yell. "THIS WAS JUST A WARNING, BUT NEXT TIME WE COME WE MIGHT NOT BE SO GENEROUS." The voices and police sirens got quieter as I ran further and further away. I wasn't sure if they wanted me to stop running and listen to them, but I didn't even think about doing so for a second. "MICHAEL KNOWS WHERE TO GO IF YOU CHANGE YOUR MIND!"

After that the only sound I heard in the dark forest was my heavy breathing. I knew they weren't still chasing me but I didn't feel safe. I just kept running until my lungs felt like they were burning. And then I ran a little more.

I suddenly realized I had went through all that trouble for Michael and for Michael only. If it had been up to me I would have stayed in Gus's house and called the cops. I would have had Michael do whatever punishment he deserved, as long as we were together. I would be in a completely different situation if anything had been up to me but I couldn't help wanting to do whatever Michael wanted when I was around him. It was like I was his bitch and when he told me to do something it was a new command. But I couldn't help it, I though about how much I loved him as I looked down at his cut up face.

I got so sleepy I had to eventually sit down. My arms were so tired from carrying Michael, I had never realized how hard it was to carry another person. I set him down with his back and leaned him up against a tree. I turned on flash light mode on Ryan's phone so I could see Michael's face better, even though I was scared to.

He looked like a sleeping angel covered in blood. I slowly pulled the piece of glass out of his cheek. The blood from the slash dripped all the way down to his neck, which looked so exposed. His face was frozen in a very angry look, and I wondered what he could be dreaming about. I wanted him with me to comfort me and make me feel safe, so I tried shaking him and whispering his name. "Michael."

"Mi-cool wake up it's okay now just like you said."

I got his glasses out which were in my pocket and placed them on his face gently. I gave him light slaps on the face, not sure what the right way to wake up and unconscious person was. He looked so sleepy I almost just wanted to leave him alone. I was about to give up when I saw his eyes open. He sat up and looked around like how people wake up in movies. I smiled and grabbed his hand.

"You scared me for a bit there Michael," I said honestly. "How do you feel?"

"Where is the car? Where are all the people who were chasing us?" he asked.

"They left. They said it was just a warning but that they'd be back or something like that. The car crashed into a tree."

"Ya I remember that part," Michael said with a sigh, now relaxing. He thought for a few seconds and then looked up at me and started laughing, glad to be alive.
