Chapter 4

I didn't sleep well. I woke up very early and I got to shower myself. This thing is... very complicate. With all these buttons and think I washed me with four different type of soap.

When I finally be able to stop it, I got dressed with black pants and a long shirt the same color.

I go to the living room and I found Gale.

"You wake up early." I say.

His gaze was on me, until a got sit beside him.

"Sleep well?" He asks.

"No."

"Same." He answers.

We hear knocks on the floor who were coming, Effie.

"Oh, good morning young people! We are going to arrives to the Capitol and after that the parade!"

Haymitch enter the room and the lady add;

"Tell them what you had telling me last night."

The man sigh and but his gaze on her. Are they together? I ask in a look to Gale. He answers me with by letting fall is shoulders.

"I promise that I will be sober until the games. But, just because I don't want what happened yesterday once again."

I nod the head and my friend says:

"It will be a good thing."

"I think it the best idea you ever have!" Says Effie looking at Haymitch.

How they look at each other, they are clearly in love.

"The breakfast will be ready soon. Be there on time." State the lady as she quit the living room with the man. When I'm sure they are gone, I'm turning toward Gale and say:

"I have never imagined... those two... together."

My friend has an arm on the back of the couch and his eyes are closed, snoring slowly. I can't stop myself of smiling. I put my head on his chest and my arms wrap around his waist. One of his arms fall on my back and put me closer to him. I feel a little bit weird, but surprising I fall asleep.

When I woke up, I feel the warmth of Gale body still touching mine. I want to stay there, but I have to move. I groan and pull myself up. I blink many times and see that Effie and Haymitch were behind us.

"Sleep well sweetheart?" Ask the man.

"Yeah, yeah." I grumble.

I hate this nickname.

"I keep you some breakfast." Says the woman.

I woke up Gale and we got to the dining room. An avox give me a hot drink. I feel bad, that they serve us and we do nothing to thanks them. I taste the liquid carefully and it looks delicious.

"Try it. It super good." I say and give the cup toward my best friend.

I take some fruit and two pancakes.

"Not bad."

He put the cup back on the table has Effie and Haymitch enter the room.

"We're going to arrive in a Capitol in one hour. I just want to let you to know that there is going to have many cameras and photographs. So...hum... just be ready." Says Effie.

We nod and Haymicht come sit in front of us.

"So, what you two know?"

"What do you want to know?" Ask Gale.

"If you're not incompetent like the others I have the past years."

I fell my friend become tense. So I answer:

"We can hunt, use a bow and knifes."

"Cool. For the first time, I think am going to have a winner."

I sallow hard, it not going to be me.

"Do you have advices, for the games?" Gale says.

"Let me think, just stay alive!"

The man start laughed very hard. My friend and I look at each other. I stand up first and Gale follow me in the living room. But suddenly the car goes dark, like at night.

"We must be in a tunnel." Says my friend.

I nod, we're in the tunnel that runs up the mountains that separate the Capitol and the districts.

When the light blows up, Gale and me go to a window. We see the citizens of the Capitol were cheering at us.

A hand put down my shoulder, a turn my head to see Haymitch.

"One of them may be rich." He murmurs.

He goes away and my best friend look straight at me. We can't deny it, but he had a point. So we begin to wave at the colorful people and smile.
