Chapter 15

The woods, we maybe have a chance.

30 seconds.

My gaze goes on Gale and he turns his head toward the forest. It where we're gonna to meet. I focus my attention on the Cornucopia and take a swallow of air. I see a bow, but he's too near form the middle of the Cornucopia. I will get kill, for sure. But, I see a dark blue bag. I can get this one.

10 seconds.

I ignore my increasing heartbeat. I just need to get my bag then run.

The gong rings out.

I immediately run toward the bag. I will get it. But, unfortunately the district 2 girl, Clove, catch it at the same time has me. And she is arm with knives.

"Oh hey, district 12." She says.

I grab the backpack with two hands and pull it toward me. The tribute girl grab one of her knife and try to stab me in the heart. But, I move and take the weapon in the shoulder. I squeeze my teeth strongly together and I hit the girl in the jaw.

A tall figure appears behind Clove.

Gale.

He grabs the girl by her shoulders and push her away. I take it off the knife and let out a small scream. The blood squirt, immediately. My breathing start to speed up. Someone grab my hands and I start to run toward the forest. It the only person I can trust in all this nightmare, Gale. I didn't care about my injurie; we still have a chance to survive.

After, almost, one hour of running, I start to feel very dizzy and can catch my breath. So I stop running and put my hand on my bloody shoulder.

"Catnip, are you okay?"

I shake my head.

"I-I-I can't breath." I murmur.

He takes one my cheeks in his hand.

"It okay, just look at me."

I but my hands on his shoulder and look at him.

"I-I-I love you...."

I close my eyes and fall on the ground.

"No Katniss, stay with me." I hear the boy.

But I can't, because I black out right after.

Am I gonna die?
