We're not ready!

Eddie paced the floor, she was waiting for Jamie to get home. She glanced at the coffee table again. How could this have happened?they'd been so careful. She heard the key jiggle in the door. Oh god!  Jamie walked in to see Eddie pacing and instantly knew something was wrong."hey,what's wrong?"he asked. Eddie didn't answer.then he saw it.he saw the positive pregnancy test sitting on the coffee table."Eddie?"he asked and she turned around to see him with a huge smile on his face."stop smiling,this isn't good!" Eddie said a little angry. "Yes it is,this is wonderful!"Jamie said still smiling. "Daddy!" Amy yelled running in the living room and jumping into Jamie's arms as he picked her up."hey princess! What did you do today?" Amy starting rambling about her day the best she could,while Jamie mouthed 'we'll talk later' to Eddie,she nodded and went to kitchen to start dinner.

While Eddie cooked Jamie and Amy played dress up in the living room while The Little Mermaid was playing on TV.  "Time for make up,daddy!"Amy squealed as she opened her play make up set. "Mommy,isn't this your department?"Jamie asked Eddie who didn't hear him over the sound of the running water in the kitchen. 'The things I do for you!'Jamie thought as Amy put eye shadow on him.   By the time dinner was ready Jamie had on a pink tutu, a plastic crown,bright pink lipstick,eyeshadow,blush,plastic jewellery,and his finger nails were painted a bright pink. As soon as he and Amy were in the kitchen Eddie burst out laughing,before Jamie knew what she was doing she had snapped a picture of him and sent a group message of the picture. 

After dinner Jamie went to the kitchen to wash off the make up when Amy asked"daddy,what are you doing?" She stood by the sink watching her father. "I have to wash all this stuff off before bed,and so do you." He said."can you please leave it on until after my bath?"she asked. Jamie's heart melted,something about his daughter's sweet voice made him melt to a puddle.he put the wash rag down and said "okay,baby,but after your bath the make up comes off,okay?" Amy nodded "okay!" And ran into the bathroom to get ready for her bath. It was Jamie's turn for bath night,so Eddie went into the living room and flipped on the tv. "Daddy,how many toys can I have?"Amy asked as Jamie was stripping her of her pink tutu. "Well tomorrow's Saturday, so two barbies and three squirt toys!" Jamie said as he pulled off Amy's Levi jeans."yaaaay!" She shrieked with laughter. "Okay,skin the rabbit!"Jamie said as Amy raise her arms and Jamie peeled her shirt off. He carefully took a wash rag and washed The make up off of Amy's face. He quickly washed her hair and soaped her up. she was about to get out of the bath when she filled up one of the squirting toys with water,she turned and squirted Jamie square in the face. He filled one of her toys up and squirted her in her stomach and she giggled as her picked her up in a towel and started tickling her. "Daddy that tickles!"she squealed as her arms and legs flew in every direction. He hoisted her up on his hip and carried her to her bedroom. She sat on her bed as he looked through her drawers in search of socks,underwear,and pajamas. He quickly dressed her,read her a book and kissed her goodnight. He went into the bathroom and washed his face off.he went to the living room to find Eddie sitting on the couch."what took you so long?"she asked flatly."I let Amy play in the tub for a little while." He said looking down at his wet shirt. "So what about the pregnancy test?" He asked her after a moment of silence. "Jamie,we're not ready for another baby." She said turning to face him."why not,from the looks of it that one is turning out great."he said referring to Amy. "But,I'm not ready!" Eddie said."two years difference isn't enough."Eddie said.Jamie was silent."and what if what happened last time,happens this time?" Eddie asked."then we'll get through it."Jamie said taking her hand in his."you are defiantly keeping this baby,if that's what you mean."Jamie said in a stern voice. "Okay,so what do we do?" Eddie asked "we have a baby!" Jamie said smiling.
