It was Britney's first week home, and Eddie,Jamie,and Amy were all sleep deprived. The baby cried at night, in the evening, in the afternoon, in the morning, and all in between. Amy hadn't been this bad, sure she cried, but it was nothing like this. Most nights it was Eddie who went and tended to her, considering she was on maternity leave and Jamie had work and needed his sleep. Britney was sleeping in the bassinet in Eddie and Jamie room.
*Baby cry* Jamie groaned in his sleep when he heard the noise. Eddie was out cold. He thought it might stop,it didn't stop. "God damn it!" He growled as he rolled out of bed at three in the morning. He loved his daughter but he didn't love her crying. He got out of bed and walked over to her. He checked her diaper, and he had just fed her an hour ago. He picked her up and took her to the rocking chair. Eventually she stopped her crying and fell asleep in Jamie's arms.
Eddie awoke the next morning to a sweet sight. Jamie in the rocking chair, fast asleep, holding Britney in his arms. Eddie carefully removed the sleeping newborn from her husbands arms and took her to her crib. She walked back into the bedroom and kissed Jamie.
