"Please daddy!" Amy begged jumping up and down on the couch. "Amy I said no." Jamie said trying to fold laundry."but daddy!" Amy said giving hi the evil eye. 'God,Eddie please come home and help me with this child!' He thought internally. Amy had been begging for a dog for months Jamie had said no that a dog was too much trouble especially with a new baby on the way. "Please!!!" Amy raised her voice. Jamie looked up and saw her doing the puppy dog eyes again,every time she did that his heart melted and he always agreed. "I need to talk to mommy first." Jamie said caving. "Yayyyy!!!" Amy screamed and jumped off the couch and ran away before Jamie could get another word in.
"But,Eddie she really wants a dog!" Jamie begged. "Fine,we can get her one for Christmas." Eddie compromised. " it's march!" Jamie said like she was an idiot. "I know, but by December we will have settled in with the baby and a dog will be perfect." Eddie explained. Jamie shook his head in disagreement, but instead of arguing he said "fine!" Eddie smiled in victory.
"Daddy! That's a million months away!" Two and a half year old Amy said when Jamie told her they could get a dog for Christmas. "I know, but then the baby will be here and we can all go pick out a dog." Jamie explained. Amy knew that pouting was no use, her mother had spoken. "Okay daddy." She said sadly.
Authors note: haha you thought by the title that this was going to be the chapter where the baby is born. I plan to do a few more chapters before the baby is born, I still haven't had anyone tell me what the new baby should be so if you don't I'm just going to decide. Luv ya bunches!
