"What the hell,Reagan?" Eddie yelled as soon as Amy was in the car.
"I'm defending my family."
"But there was no need for that"
"Yeah there was,Eddie."
"No there wasn't,that was Danny busting your chops!" Eddie argued
"THAT was bullshit." Jamie said, whispering the last part.
"You shouldn't let him get to you like that." Eddie said recovering from hearing Jamie say the s-word. ( he had never said it in front of her before.)
"Whatever Eddie, let's just go." Jamie said getting into the drivers seat.
They got into the car and drove home,not a single word was said. Jamie pulled up the apartment and parked.both Eddie and Jamie got out of the car quickly.Eddie opened the door to the back seat and grabbed Amy in her car seat. Jamie was no where in sight,he had already gone into the building and by the time Eddie got to the hallway that their apartment was on she could see a very frantic Jamie checking and rechecking his pockets for his keys."please tell me you have your key" he said as soon as she was in hearing range. Eddie checked her purse after handing Amy's care seat to Jamie."sorry" she said simply."why, don't you have yours?" She asked half hearted."no, we were already running late and I guess I just forgot it." Jamie sighed " damn it!" He said under his breath" "i'll go ask the front desk for an extra key." She said and before Jamie could get another word in she sashayed down the long hallway.
