A new family (on hold)

Easter Sunday

Authors note: so in honour of Easter being today, I've decided to write an Easter chapter, because honestly I'm having a bad case of Writers Block!

Jamie and Eddie had planned an extra special Easter this year, Amy had been sick last year so it wasn't much fun for her.

Amy had just walked out of her bedroom to find an plastic egg, at her door, she picked it up with caution. "Whatcha got there, Amy?" Jamie asked as he bent down beside her. "A egg." She said simply. She popped it open and out came a note. It said 'come to the kitchen for fun!' Jamie picked Amy up and carried her to the kitchen, where Eddie had cooked breakfast. On the bar there was pancakes shaped in flowers and rabbits, orange juice, bacon, and a bouquet of flowers. The family sat down to breakfast, Eddie eating the most. Amy found another egg with a note in it, on the kitchen counter. This note said 'go get dressed then come outside' Amy ran to her room, and Jamie followed, to help her. He quickly dressed her while Eddie was out back getting set up. Amy ran outside as soon as she was dressed, eager to see what her parents had planned. "Welcome to the Easter egg hunt!" Eddie said enthusiasm in her voice. Amy ran around the yard in search of many plastic eggs, Jamie and Eddie had sat on the porch in lawn chairs. "We better hurry, it's almost nine." Jamie said looking at his watch. "Amy come on, you have to get in your Sunday clothes!" Eddie called from her seat on the porch. 

Amy thought that the mass was boring, and was up and out of her seat, causing Jamie to have to go get her ten thousand times every five minutes. And they had thought that having a crying baby in church was bad, they didn't to know anything! 

Back at the Reagan household. 

Frank and Henry had always planned a huge Easter egg hunt, and this year was no different. After a nice dinner, the kids went upstairs to get dressed in play clothes, Nicky said she would help Amy so her aunt and uncle could have a much needed rest. Afterword, the family was out side. Frank had even put out a banner to hold the kids back, all of the kids had to participate Nicky had said she was to old but her mother had insisted she do it anyway. "On you're mark, get set, go!"  Frank yelled and Henry set off a BB gun. Sean was defiantly the fastest, and Nicky stayed behind to help Amy. After all the eggs were counted, Sean and jack tied with 37, Nicky had 23 and Amy had 19. But frank and had planned more, they had Easter baskets for all the children, Amy tore into her first, then Sean, then jack. It was late and past Amy's bedtime, so Jamie and Eddie had to go home. "Did you have a good Easter?" Eddie asked on the car ride home. There was no answer, she turned around, to see that Amy had fallen fast asleep.
