I was about to call the hotel where Nikki is staying when ...

My phone beeped ...

SO ALIVE!!!!!

I let out a huge sigh. I felt relieved. But I still need to talk to her.

She declined my call.

I had no choice but to text her.

To: Nikkiheart

Answer the damn phone, Ana Monique!

She hates her complete name. I had to use it! I had to sound mad.

She called me instead.

"Nikki! You got me worried all morning!" I immediately said. I didn't even bother to say hello.

"Mad? Huh?" She answered sweetly.

How could I stay mad? 

"You texted late. How can I not be mad? I was trying to contact you but I couldn't. I even called your mom. I was about to call the resort." I'm calm now.

"There's no time in our rules, right? We only had to text each other everyday. It's just almost noon." Her voice still remaining sweet and angelic.

"But you usually text early in the morning. Where have you been? Why couldn't I call you earlier. " 

"Oh! That! Sorry, I forgot to charge my phone after I talked to mom last night. I went out of the resort early today. I went snorkeling, Heart. I saw a lot of Nemos!" She said excitedly.

So that was it? While I'm all worried here and all ... She was just out swimming with differend kinds of fish? 

"They're not called Nemos, Heart. They're clown fish!"

I heard her giggle, "Does it matter? They're so cute! Ang daya mo... You know where I am ... That's cheating..."

"I can tell you where I am..."

"Ooppss ... save it... We'll talk about our adventures when we see each other tomorrow. Will you be back in Manila by tomorrow night?"

"Yah ... Why? Do you want me to pick you up at the airport? What time's your flight, anyway?"

"Nope, you're not picking me up at the airport ..."

"What do you mean?"
