An Affair to Remember

Another Sunrise

I stared at the woman sleeping so soundly on the passenger seat. I can't believe she's really next to me now. I almost lost hope of finding her. I almost gave up.

When I saw her again, even if  she was holding that other guy's hand, I knew I had to get her. I didn't wait for three freakin' years to just give up that easily.

As I look at her  now, I feel the same longing, the same passion. Ghad, I miss her. I miss talking to her. I miss how she argues back at me. I miss how her eyes react to what I say. I miss her so badly.

"Wake up, Kriztel. The sun is about to rise." I whispered softly in her ear. I was so tempted to kiss her.

She squinted her eyes, "We're here?"

"Oh, no, we're not," I joked.

Her eyes grew big. She was ready to argue back. She was so darn cute.

I gave her a quick kiss on her temple, "Let's argue later, honey.We have a sunrise to catch." I felt shivers down my spine with that simple kiss on her forehead. This woman really has that different effect in me.

I held her hand as we watch the sunrise together. "I almost forgot how beautiful this was." I heard her say.

"I never forgot how beautiful it was." I said but I was not really looking at the sunrise. I was staring at her.

"I booked us a cottage. Let's go." I whispered and I swear I saw her blushing.

I took her hand and led her to the cottage. "Is this my cottage or yours?" She asked, her arms crossed.

What? What kind of question was that?

"Umm .. ours!?" I smiled. She was blushing again but then her eyes suddenly became fierce. "What makes you think I want to share a room with you?"

I smiled. I like the game she was playing.  "How can you be so selfish, you should share." I came near her. This time, we were only an inch apart.

I saw her swallow. But she maintained a fierce look. "I don't like sharing. I want what's mine alone."

"I don't like sharing, either." I whispered to her left ear.

She froze. I wanted to kiss her. Oh and ravish her. But I wanted the game she was trying to play.

"Go get your own cottage, this is mine." She was trying her best not to stutter. I smiled 'coz I know I still had that same effect on her.

"Okay. If that's what you want." I teased.

Her eyes grew bigger. Her reaction was hilarious. The more I wanted to pull her in my arms and start claiming her. It was too darn difficult to continue the act.

"Go!" She raised her left eye.

"Okay," I whispered to her other ear.

I didn't move. She didn't either. I felt heat surrounding us. But no one dared to make the first move. This woman is amazing. She's such a tease, too.

I couldn't take it anymore. "I lose, KC. I don't mind losing to you as long as I never lose you again. I can't afford to lose you again." And with that I claimed her lips.

"A-adam," she moaned as our lips parted. I started showering kisses around her face. The tip of her nose, both her cheeks, her lips, her chin ... I marked every part of her beautiful face.

My lips found their way down her neck.

"Adam!" She shrieked.

I smiled innocently, "What?"

"Too early," she said shyly.

"Too early for this ... " she fidgeted.

"We're three years late, honey," I said.

"No, I mean ..  the sun just rose. It's too bright," she couldn't look at me straight in the eye.

I laughed, "Honey, I want to make love to you in broad daylight."

I claimed her lips once more while my hands found their way to the buttons of her blouse. I hurriedly unclasp them.

"A-adam," she moaned my name again. I love how she says my name.

"Yes, KC?" I teased.

She just groaned and she was desperately trying to cover the top part of her body with her hands.

"Don't, honey. I want to see how beautiful you are."

I unclasped the only clothing coverinv the top part of her body. I moved a few inches away from her. I looked at her exposed beauty.

She was flashing red. "Don't blush, honey. I've seen that 3 years ago and it's a sight I never forgot."

She blushed even more.

"Unfair. You should take your shirt off, too." She bravely said even if her cheeks were burning red.

I raised my hands, "I need help, honey."

Her hands were trembling as she raised my shirt up.

She stared at me. I took her hand and pulled her close. "This is real. It's no longer just a dream. I'm holding you and you're holding me."

Our lips met once more as both our hands were busy removing all other barriers that were hindering our bodies from being one.

I adored every inch of her body. I wanted to show her how much I longed for her.

We fell asleep in each other's arms after.

It was half past twelve when we woke up.

"I'm hungry," she muttered.

"I'm all yours ... go ahead." I teased.

"Pervert!" She shouted laughing.

"What do you mean?" I said innocently.

Her eyes were now glowering with irritation and I that made her more adorable.

"Come on ... let's go grab something to eat." I finally said.

We ended up going to places we've been to after. We went to the windmills and the lighthouse again.We went to EMOHRUO for dinner too.

We just stayed in each others arms the whole night. I couldn't get enough of her. I wanted to make up for all those lost years.

The morning I woke up next to her was the best moment. As the sun shone through our cottage window, I couldn't  help but smile. This time, I could watch the sunrise with her. This time I wouldn't have to leave her before daylight. I have her know.

"Good morning, sleepyhead. Come ... let's watch another sunrise together." I whispered to her ears.
