Chapter 7

Ruby and I walked into lunch. I saw Graham sitting at the table we normally sat at, facing away from us. I walked up behind him and slowly wrapped my arms around him and put my head on his shoulder. He jumped at first but once he realized it was me he turned his head around to kiss me on the cheek.

I sat down next to him and since he already got his lunch, I stole one of his chips and then ran into the lunch line to get my food with Ruby following close behind me.

Graham and I have only been dating for a week. He has kept his promise and hasn't been extremely overprotective. Neither one of us have told each other that we love each other but I really want to tell him. I just don't know how..

Once Ruby and I got back to our table, I sat next to Graham while Ruby sat across from us. Ruby has been really happy ever since we got together. She thinks it's adorable how protective he is of me.

Ruby threw a chip into the air and caught in her mouth and said "Hey, do you guys want to do something after school or something?"

"Sure, I guess. But what?" I replied.

"Um..I don't know. We could hang out at Granny's."

"I'm surprised you'd say Granny's when you're basically there everyday because of work." Graham said while chuckling.

"Well when I'm not working it can actually be quite relaxing." Ruby said while rolling her eyes. "So are you guys in or not?"

"Ya, sure." Graham and I said in unison.

After school we decided we were going to go to our houses and get ready and then Ruby was going to come and pick us up and take us to Granny's.

I went downstairs to wait for Ruby and I saw that my dad was home.

"Hey, sweetheart, where are you going?" My dad asked.

"I'm going to Granny's with Ruby and Graham. Is that alright?" My dad has been overprotective of me because of Graham. They haven't met each other yet and I'm quite nervous for when they do meet because I don't want my dad to kill Graham or something.. Ok, I'm over exaggerating but hey, it could happen!

"I want to meet this kid that's dating my daughter." He said while glaring daggers at me.

"I know, and you will eventually but not right now. Ok?"

"Fine. But just know, I still don't trust him." He said and walked away.

Damn. He needs to chill! Graham is a great guy and he has nothing to worry about.

I was only waiting for a minute when I heard someone knock on the door so I stood up and ran to the door to see Graham.

"Hey Graham, where's Ruby?" I asked him.

"She's waiting in the car. She said she was too lazy to get out." He said while chuckling. God, I love his laugh. He's so adorable!

We walked to Ruby's car and Graham opened the backseat door for me and I got in. I was expecting him to sit up front with Ruby but instead he went around to the other side of he car and sat next to me in the back.

"Wow, thanks for leaving me up here all alone." Ruby said sarcastically. "Now don't make out in the back of my car, ok? Thanks." She said and we all laughed.
