Fallen(Armin Arlert x reader)

You walked around the enormous library, trying to find another book to read. You closed your eyes as you ran your finger along the shelf, you felt something other than books as you furrowed your brows in confusion and opened your eyes. Your finger was now poking Armin's cheek instead. Your cheeks flushed " Gomen( sorry)"

You then realized your finger was still in his face as you quickly retracted it " it's fine " he chuckled while scratching the back of his neck, his cheeks now matching your flushed ones. You awkwardly chuckled " I was just trying to find a book to read , I usually find books this way rather than reading the cover that can be appealing but deceiving at times" he nodded " so why were you here?" You muttered as you pulled out the book next to Armin's head. " actually I was looking for you" he awkwardly chuckles as your eyes widen. " ehm what for?"

You move your head to try and conceal your flushed cheeks but to no avail. " I just wanted to talk to you, I've ehm missed talking to you" his cheeks flush as he looks at the ground. You giggle at his adorableness as he furrows his brows " did I say something funny? Wait! Is there something in my head?" His eyes widen as he frantically tries to find the nonexistent object.

You laugh lightly as you shake your head " ie ( no), I simply thought you looked cute" his gaze quickly drops to the ground " ehm a-arigato" you chuckle lightly as Armin looks at you " your laugh is adorable" your cheeks flush as you divert your gaze from his piercing blue eyes. " shit, did I say that aloud? Please forgive me" he bows as you quickly shake your head"n-no need to apologize "

Both of you were now a blushing mess as you stared at the book in your hands, it looked fairly old but sometimes the eldest books were the best ones. You opened it and read the first page
'love may happen at any given time for we do not choose who we fall in love with nor when we fall in love. You may not even realize you've fallen for someone until every ounce of you wishes to be with that person and be their source of happiness. If you're thinking of someone as you read this, then my dear reader you've fallen in love'. " I've fallen in love with Armin?" You whisper to yourself as Armin turns to look at you " nani? (What?)" you blush as you quickly stammer " nandemonai, just thinking out loud, that's all." You flash him a smile as he shrugs. " so what book did you find?" He stops his search as he walks over and takes a peek at the book in your hands. " I'm not sure, it was the book that was  besides your head so I'm guessing it would've been the one I'd chosen" he nods as he snatches the book from your hands to admire it.

" what's it about?" He flips through the cover as he reaches the first page and reads. You blush , remembering what the book said ' then my reader you've fallen in love' love such a meaningful yet commonly used word. You watched as you saw a faint blush appear on Armin's cheeks. " I-it seems ehm interesting" he hands you the book as you nod . An awkward silence filled the air as Armin spoke up " so did you think of anyone while reading it?" You blush as you nod . "  who'd you think of?" You sigh and shake your head as Armin speaks up  " If I tell you who I thought of, will you tell me"

You hesitantly nod "do we say it at the same time or one after the other?" You pondered as you thought of his question , if you were to say it one after the other you could be the first one to speak and you wouldn't know whether you'd be making a fool of yourself or if not therefore it'd be best to say it at the same time so you wouldn't entirely seem like a fool "at the same time" you mutter as he nods and counts " 1....2....3" " you"  you both spoke in sync as you stared, wide-eyed at each other.

" d-does this mean, we are now ehm together or-" you were quickly shut up as you felt a pair of lips make contact with yours, you melted into the kiss as you wrapped your arms around his neck. Your hands reached up to his hair as you slightly messed his blonde locks while his hands snaked around your waist.

You both stopped for air as you smiled " Armin?" "Yes?" You stared at him lovingly as you placed your head in the crook of his neck " I've fallen for you, Armin. I love you with all my heart"  a smile tug at the corners of his lips as he placed his head on top of yours " can I tell you a secret?" You nod as he chuckles "I've fallen head over heels for you since the moment we met"
