Yamaguchi Kenji x reader part 1

" Damn it!" you sigh while walking towards the source of the voice already knowing who was causing all of the noise.  " Damn Haru!" you took a turn at the end of the street and came face to face with a certain blonde kicking a lamppost. "Yamaken" your voice was barely audible over the sound of the blonde's yells " why can't she see that I'm the one for her not him!" you felt a slight pang on your chest, why can't you see that she isn't the one for you?  you see ,you had a crush on the 'slightly full of himself 'blonde. You didn't know how it happened nor why you'd fallen but like most things in life it had simply happened and so here you were once again having to hear the guy you love wonder why another girl won't love him back .You put your hand on his shoulder hoping he would calm down for you could feel your heart sink even more with every word he said because it reminded you of the cruel truth, that he would never love you back. " yamaken... please stop" 

"why?!" he kicked the lamppost once again before dropping his gaze to the ground and clenching his fist " say y/n, am I not... good enough?" those were the words that had finally made you snap, "you're such an idiot!" he stared at you, shocked by your words. You clenched your fist "why?! why can't you see that you're worth more than you think?!" you clenched your fist even more, making your nails dig into your skin " Yamaken... you're more than a girl could ever wish for and if she can't see that then she's even blinder than you" said blonde didn't know what to do nor what to say for your actions had taken him aback. you spoke up once again, your voice now softer"Yamaken, just don't say anything like that ever again... please" you began walking away from the blonde, wondering how many more times this exact scene would have to repeat itself until he finally notices your feelings for him.

 "Y/n.."The blonde spoke up, his voice echoing throughout your ears like a melody making you stop in your tracks for a moment, wondering whether you should listen to whatever the blonde has to say or be a coward and leave. You sighed " what?" He scratched the back of his neck not knowing why he called you either. " why?" you smiled lightly " because Yamaken when a person cares for someone else they're honest, even if it means telling the other how much of an idiot he can be at times" he sweat dropped " that was... ehm honest of you" you chuckled lightly , if only you knew how much I truly care for you.  'If you want him to know how much you care then show him' 

You turned around to look at the blonde you'd come to love, debating whether you should listen to your subconscious for a change. You sighed it's now or never , you took a few steps closer to the clueless man and did what you'd been wanting to do for so long, you kissed him. His eyes widened not knowing how to react to the sudden display of affection from the girl who not so long ago had called him an idiot. You smiled despite knowing how red your cheeks would most likely be right now. You let go of the now dumbfounded blonde and smiled at him " Even if you don't love me, I will never stop loving you Yamaken. Because you were the one that taught me to never give up on the things I want and right now Yamaken, the one I want is you" a slight pink tinted his cheeks making you feel butterflies in your stomach.  You walked away out of the speechless blonde's sight and hit your head against the wall. "Gosh, i'm so stupid."
