( long awaited) Ilumi Zoldyck x reader part 1

You stretched your arms and legs while sighing in relief " I'm finally done, now-" you swung your legs to the side of your bed and stood up " time for some manga" you ran your fingers through the many, many mangas until you found the one you'd been looking for, the limited edition hunter x hunter manga.

You smiled to yourself before flopping on your bed. You opened the manga and read the first page, noticing the huge letters that were in italics " sometimes we find ourselves wishing we were in these fictional worlds and other times we wish they were real. Read your wish out loud and watch it come to life" you furrowed your brows in confusion, why would someone put this at the beginning of a manga? It can't possibly be real, can it? Of course not, it's not as if one of your favorite worlds could magically appear as soon as you read it.

You read the manga setting all of those thoughts aside , or at least trying to. You reread the same page over and over again, not being able to concentrate properly due to your thoughts. You sighed and glanced at the page once more "It wouldn't hurt to try .." You flipped through the pages until you found the one you were looking for.

" I can't believe I'm doing this" you cleared your throat and read the first words on the page in the most dramatic voice you could muster. Before you could finish reading the text the manga began shaking. " what the-" the manga fell out of your hands and onto the floor of your bedroom. You gasped at the sight of the pages flipping on their own, you crawled back while thinking of reasons as to why the old man that sold you the manga would want to curse you.

Your thoughts were interrupted by a figure that slowly began appearing," fuck this shit I'm out!" You muttered while quickly scrambling towards your door. Your hand inched towards the doorknob until a greenish pin landed onto the wood on top. You jerked backwards, losing your balance and colliding with the floor. " gomen, it seems my aim faltered for a moment there" your eyes widened at the sound of the emotionless voice you had heard so many times from your favorite anime character ' it can't be him' ' he isn't real.. Right?' You looked for the source of the voice and gasped once you found it. The one and only Illumi Zoldyck was standing in your room.

He sighed " it seems I am no longer in my universe once again, what a burden. That old man is really getting on my nerves with all of this, perhaps I should terminate him" he twirled one of his needles in his hand, deep in thought before sighing " ie, It would simply be a waste of time and frankly I was in the middle of a contract" the ( your age: y/a) year old girl stood still, dumbfounded by it all. 

" eto.. Zoldyck-san.." He scanned the room for the  source of the voice until his eyes met your own " ehh so this is the person who's called me" he tilted his head to the side, staring deep into your eyes almost as if he was analyzing you, this made you sweat drop, he really had no idea who you were when he almost killed you like 5 seconds ago?

You threw you hands up into the air for emphasis   "You had no idea who I was yet you almost killed me like 5 seconds ago?!" as much as you loved Illumi you couldn't help but feel slightly angered at the male for almost killing you for no reason at all, said male continued staring at you, almost as if analyzing you. " Is that wrong?" your features softened once you heard him say those words.

You felt slight empathy for Illumi for that was all he knew, how to kill. You took a seat on your bed, patting the spot next to you. For some odd reason that even Illumi doesn't know up to this day, he complied and sat next to you. " It is wrong... at least in most cases" this response had taken Illumi aback , no one had ever seen what he'd done that way. Most people would either fear him or fear nothing but disgust for all the things he's done.

Illumi stared at you, not being able to take his eyes off the human who'd made him feel something he'd never felt before, emotions. How could a simple human he'd met just a few minutes ago make him feel something no other human could in his 24 years of life? " what did you do?" you turned your head to look at him" what do you mean?" he put a hand on his chest " my heart is beating abnormally fast whenever I look at you, did you poison me?" you felt your cheeks warm up, Illumi noticing this out his hand to your forehead "it seems you've accidentally poisoned yourself as well, you're burning up" you stared at the emotionless man in front of you before doing something you never thought you'd be able to do someday, you hugged him, you hugged Illumi Zoldyck. " are you trying to smother me now? because if you are then you are miserably failing and you're leaving an open window for me to kill you right now" you chuckled lightly " you know Illumi for such a smart person you can be quite an idiot at times" The words that left your lips only made him be more interested in you, no one had ever dared to call him an idiot.

You let go of the emotionless male making him stare at you " what are you?" you chuckled lightly "I'm an Y/n ( your name)" he took his phone out " what is that? is it some sort of species?" you couldn't help but stifle a laugh "Illumi, I'm a human just like you" he furrowed his brows did a human actually get through to him? this didn't make sense to him at all you stared at your ceiling deciding to ask him the question you've been itching to ask "Illumi, why didn't you kill me? you had more than enough chances to so why didn't you?"Illumi pondered for a bit wondering the same thing himself, why didn't he? he knows for sure that his aim never falters so why did it this time, unless it actually didn't falter. However why didn't he kill you the moment he thought you'd poisoned him?

" I cannot explain what I feel for you right now nor can I explain why my heart began beating at an abnormal pace but I can tell you this-" Illumi stood up while picking up the manga that had been long forgotten due to the past events. " my aim never falters" you snapped your head in his direction feelings your cheeks heat up once again but you were to late the assassin was no longer in your world. You sighed "what did he mean by that?" you threw yourself on your bed noticing a now slightly wrinkled paper under your arm. You raised said arm and stared at the letter, reading the assasin's writing " I'm no longer in your world however due to an unresolved matter I'll be returning - Illumi" you couldn't help but smile after reading the letter, you held the letter to your chest, thinking about the events that had occurred that day.

Little did you know that this unusual encounter would lead to the love story you'd always read in all of those mangas and books.

Hey! I know this update isn't much especially since I left you guys for so long but I'll try to post more updates for you guys. I also wanted to say thank you to all of those who are supporting me, it really means a lot, the fact that this story has gotten so far is so surreal to me. I honestly still can't believe all the support I've gotten for this story, I was a mere writer who wanted to make people feel the same way I felt whenever I read these imagines and oneshots, happy and to have possibly accomplished this is just ...wow ,so thank you :)
